"No but she was like-" the door opened, I lean back on the chair watching him leave pretty quickly. "She was like yelling at him and it turns out that he was cheating on her with her brother."

"What?" She squeaks out. "Yeah no it was insane." Hailey made her way in, sliding across the room on her chair. "What are we talking about?"

"Some idiot yesterday. Cheating on his wife with her brother." Her jaw dropped and I couldn't help but laugh. "That's insane. Did you guys want to go out for dinner tonight?"

"Where? We have a show so it'll have to be somewhere open late." She spins on her seat, humming as she did it. "I'm not sure. I was thinking about that really fancy place- wait why are we here so early in the morning? Where is Calum? What are we doing?"

"She's like a little fish. It's incredible." Atlas spoke under her breath. "Truly. We're going to California. We've got some work to do before the show. We have a very busy day today actually, me and Calum have to do something then the photoshoot for the album and then the show. Dinner is probably going to be the calmest part of the day."

"Said none of us, ever." Calum mumbled out, falling onto Atlas. "Oh. Okay. Hi."

"I'm so tired." Hailey looked absolutely defeated. I hate that I felt so bad about it.

I know it's not entirely her fault and I guess I understand, but it just hurts to see. "Can we leave. I want to get breakfast."

I stood beside Hailey as we walked, hugging her into my side.

I know that I'm about to sound awful, but seeing this in person made me glad I didn't keep anything from Atlas for too long.

"You're going to be fine." She rests her head on my chest. "I don't know what to do."

"Whatever is best for you. Don't think about this from his perspective. He's a big boy he can figure it out. Let yourself figure it out for you."

We'd driven an hour, that was it, it took us an hour and a half to get an hour out. They still carpooled together so me and Atlas weren't in that awkward silence.

We were both pretty giddy, all things considered.

We stopped at the gas station not too long ago and so now we have music and food. We were both about to crash out but we managed pretty well.

I'd played her the album- or what we had of it. She seemed pretty happy about it which was all I really cared about. "Lots of different things in there aren't there."

"Yeah. The last album had the same so we thought we'd try and stick to that but add something else too."

"How many did you write?" I huffs. "A lot of them, actually. Like a whole lot. I'm still writing a couple. Calum wrote almost the entire album last time and so he's making em work overtime."

"Aren't there like fifteen songs in that album?" She laughs. "Yes. But there's even more in this one because I'm currently writing about six different songs at the same time."

"That's absurd. There's no way somebody can right that many songs in such little time. Hailey said she spent weeks on hers."

"It's easy to write when you've got the inspiration." She hums. "What's your inspiration then Luke?"

"You. If that want made clear int he fact that every single I have written is about you then clearly I needed to do better- not every single, there's like three or four out of the- 12 that I have."

"21 songs on one album?" She moved on quick. I didn't want to but she seemed antsy. "Yeah. Everybody was complaining that it went by too quickly so we decided to write more."

"Close as strangers? Who wrote that one?" My hand twitched. "I did."

"Sounded alot like a- break up kind of song." I nodded slowly. "Kind of." She rests her head back. "How are you going to write 6 songs and then record them, in three days?"

"Easily? Our first album was made in four days." She squints at me. "What is the story on all that? You guys just sort of came out of nowhere."

"Oh it was a project we'd done. We were supposed to make a few songs and then Calum went absolutely mental and wrote a shit ton. We thought it would be funny if we'd just recorded them all. Ended up getting more recognition than we wanted."

"That is absolutely insane." My shoulders dropped. "You wanna know what's really insane, the fact that you graduated from high school at like 15." Her eyes went wide. "How the fuck did you know that?"

"Baby I got your blood type, your social security number and your passport number in about five minutes. Your graduation date was nothing."

"That's awful." I shrugged. "It is. But you graduated early. You don't want to go to college?" She laughs. "I was there for a year and it was so boring. Full of assholes who think they're better than me because they're older and over 5 foot."

"That's fair actually. It does suck. I spent most of it drunk so I don't remember. But if you did want to go then I can pay." She shook her head. "I do not. They'll just teach me what I already know. I think I'll just stick to keeping it all in my head and keep it secret."

"If you say so. You like museums?" She nodded frantically. "Okay good. You may have to stay where we're staying for a- a few hours so I just wanted to ask and see you'd be fine."

"Is the place old? I love old houses. They're so fun." I nodded. "It's very old. It's the family 'heirloom' it's so unbelievably old. You're gonna love it."

"I'm excited. My house was old. We always had fun discovering the old things that people had left. I love finding little bits and pieces from the previous owners."

"You're gonna love this place then. So many old photo books and carvings in doorframes, the garden is absolutely going to be your favourite." She smiled wider. "I love gardens."
