Let's all pretend that in this universe you can't get diseases from having other peoples blood in your body.
"Sharknado?" Atlas squints at the poster on my wall, her hands on her hips. "Terrible film. Really, it was just, awful."
"You have the poster." She laughed. "Yeah because it's funny. It's in irony. Anyway, are you ready?"
"Are you sure you want me going? I mean you've already had a few- things, said about you." I rest my hands on her hips, pulling her in and kissing her neck. "I want you there. I've told you I don't care what anyone thinks."
"I know but it just, I feel bad." I move her in front of the mirror. Lifting her head up. "I want you there. Look at you, pretty girl aren't you, baby."
"You're just saying that because the dress is tight." She turns around the face me, my eyes still on the mirror. "It's definitely a fucking bonus. But I want you there because I like your company."
"Luke! We're leaving in ten minutes! Do not start having sex because I will just drag you out!" My lips grazed over hers. "Jokes on him cause I already did."
"Is that why you bought two dresses?" I nod in shame. "Yeah. No I knew the second I saw it that it would end up ripped and on my floor."
"Thinking ahead. Very smart." The door opens, both of us turning to find Calum stood with a scowl on his face. "You cannot be doing that. Actually. That's crazy."
"I told you not to. It's not my fault. But Fatima will kill us if we're late. Come on." He takes Atlas' hand, dragging her away. "You look so pretty."
_________"This is Hailey?" I nod, Fatima smiling wider. "Hi. It's nice to meet you. Calum has been talking about you for- weeks."
"It's really annoying actually." Fatimah hums. "Yeah it's annoying until it's your turn and then suddenly it's all about Atlas."
"Because she's just way better." Hailey huffs. "I'm kidding. Mostly. Okay I'm going to go get a drink. Have fun." I made my way across to the bar.
Leaning against the bar, turning to look for Atlas. Finding her stood under the small light, she looked like an actual angel. I know it sounded biased I was serious.
She just looked absolutely perfect. Dark red was officially my favourite colour. It has been for a while, but this specific shade that she's wear is just perfect.
Getting her drink, I made my way over, pulling her in carefully. "Absolute angel."
"Why is everybody so attractive? What do you guys do in your spare time that makes you this attractive? I don't understand."
"I'm really not sure what they do. They're all born into really rich families- old money rich. And those people are always annoyingly attractive."
"You were born into a rich family?" I laughed. "God no. I was born in my mother's barn. Like Jesus Christ. But without the worshipping and gifts."
"Wait so when people ask if you're born in a barn you can say yes." She found herself so funny and it just made me want her more.
"My absolute dream girl. Only you think about these things." She rests her chin on my chest. "I think I might like you." She says quietly. "This is my worst fear. Liking a boy so equally perfect and insane."
"Do you like me really or are you blinded by the fact that I am in fact insane?" She sighs. "I wish I could know. A boy so willing to kill me and kill for me, it's a lot to carry."
"Must be so hard to get through your day, truly. Tell me how to make it better." She sighs. "I think I have to live with it. There is no escape." I felt like I could've melted in my place if I'd stared at her any longer.
