It had been a few days after the stream and the recording. It was now wendsday and I had a day off school. I had just finished catching up on some of my favorite streamers when a new message popped up on my phone.

It was from Parrot.

I had been chatting with him a bit lately, so I wasn't surprised to hear from him, but the topic of his message piqued my curiosity.

Parrot:

Hey Avery, got something exciting to discuss!

Are you free to chat?

I quickly typed back.

Avery:

Hey! Sure, what's up?

Parrot:

Great! Let's hop into a call.

I have a cool opportunity for you.

A few minutes later, we were on a call. Parrot's discord icon apeard my screen, I could practaly hear the smile on his lips.

"Hey Avery!" he said, sounding more animated than usual. "I wanted to talk to you about something pretty awesome."

"Hey Parrot! What's going on?" I asked, trying to keep my curiosity in check.

"So, you know how Lifesteal is wrapping up its current season, right?" he began. I nodded, remembering the popular Minecraft server that had been all the rage. "Well, Season 5 is just around the corner, and we're looking for new members to join the server."

I blinked in surprise. "Really? That's amazing! What does joining the server involve?"

Parrot leaned forward, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Lifesteal is a Minecraft survival server with a unique twist. Players have the ability to steal lives from each other, and it's all about strategy, alliances, and epic showdowns. The new season is bringing in new faces, and I immediately thought of you."

I could hardly contain my excitement. "Wow, that sounds incredible! But why me? I haven't really played on a smp without it being on my school's one."

Parrot chuckled. "That's actually a big part of why I thought of you. They're looking to mix things up and bring in fresh perspectives. Plus, you're a fantastic content creator, and having you on the server would be amazing for both the gameplay and the audience."

I felt a rush of adrenaline. Joining Lifesteal was something I had only ever dreamed about, and now it was a real possibility. "That's such an amazing opportunity. I'd love to join! What do I need to do to get involved?"

Parrot's grin widened. "I'll send you the discord group invitation in like two seconds and then just hop on vc2. The season kicks off in a couple of weeks, so we have some time to get everything ready."

I nodded, my mind already racing with possibilities. "Sounds perfect! I can't wait to get started. This is going to be so much fun!"

"Absolutely!" Parrot said. "It's going to be a blast. I'm really excited to see you dive into the chaos of Lifesteal and how you'll handle everything. We'll need to strategize and form alliances, and I think you'll bring a lot of energy and creativity to the server."

As we wrapped up the call, I felt a mixture of exhilaration and nervous anticipation. Joining Lifesteal Season 5 was a significant step, but it was also a fantastic opportunity to challenge myself and connect with a new community. I couldn't wait to be apart of the  world of Lifesteal and experience all the drama, strategy, and fun it had to offer.

Parrot then sent me the invite and I joined the group, and did what he told me. I got into vc2 and was met with inumerous 'hellos' 'Whats up?' and everything.

All of lifesteal was in vc2, I was introducing myself and meeting new people. It was honestly such a fever dream. Never had I imagined being apart of the group I watched in my free time, it's come a full circle.

As I logged off the call and headed to practice, I couldn't help but replay the last hour in my mind. Meeting the Lifesteal members felt surreal, like stepping into a world I had only admired from a distance. It was crazy to think that I was now part of that world.

Practice was intense, but it was a welcome distraction. The adrenaline from the Lifesteal chat carried over into my performance on the court, and I felt sharper and more focused than ever. My teammates noticed too, shooting me curious looks as I pushed through drills with extra energy.

After practice, I showered quickly and checked my phone. There were a few messages from the Lifesteal group chat, mostly banter and memes. I smiled, already feeling a sense of camaraderie building. This was going to be an incredible experience, and I couldn't wait to dive deeper into it.

I grabbed a quick dinner and headed straight to my computer. I wanted to spend some time planning my approach for Lifesteal. There was so much potential for content, alliances, and maybe a little bit of chaos. The thought of it all made me grin.

As I settled in for the night, I realized that this was just the beginning. Joining Lifesteal was a dream come true, but now the real work, and the real fun was about to start.
