"God, she really said all that?"

Theodora asks her voice laced with surprise as she tries to keep up with the blonde

"Yes! I have no idea what her problem is but she definitely has it out for me!"

Isadora explains her voice loud with frustration while walking alongside her friend down the long hallways towards the crowded chaos of the cafeteria. The chatter from the pool of hungry students echoed off the smooth stone walls all indulges with their own gossip. "Can you believe I got detention for the first time in two years all because of that English teacher??" She speaks rolling her honey eyes with a deep sights "I swear, that woman is a tyrant she stole my cigarettes! And not to mention , she's totally unreasonable and always picks on me like I'm the odd one out it's frustrating"

Her friend lets out a chuckle the sound soothing the blonde aggravation.

"Well, from what you've said she sounds like quite the character" The curly haired girl remarked a small smile playing on her lips "maybe you just need to cut her some slack. She's new here after all" isadora scoffs her hands picking and pulling at the edge of her skirt as she mutters to herself "new my ass , she's a nightmare" with those words out the girl remains quiet the spacious cafeteria was buzzing with students , the low murmur of voices blending together in a chaotic symphony.

The smell of various foods wafted through the air, mixing with the aroma of coffee , sweat and teenager hormones making the blondes face scrunch up in disgust a small wave of nausea hit leaving a hot flash in its wake. With cautious steps isadora tries to steady her breathing as she made her way towards the rectangular table one filled with memories of numerous lunch times with Theo the table had a wooden, worn surface marred with deep grooves and scratches , hinting at its age and countless meals shared upon it. A bench, worn smooth by years of countless use ran along the length of the table, the paint flaking off to reveal patches of woods raw , unfinished looks.

Sitting down upon the bench , the rooms ambiance assaulted her senses. A cacophony of voices, plates clicking , and utensils scraping against dishes filled the air. The tangy odour of cooking oil and lingering traces of various spices added to the overwhelming atmosphere; Theodora strolled back to the table, balancing a plate piled high with food. Upon it was a mouthwatering burrito , smothered in a rich, spicy sauce , accompanied by a generous helping of golden chips that emitted a savoury aroma that wafts through the air. Settling down Theo places the plate on the table the abrupt intrusion caused the blonde to snap out of her momentary trance, her friend gaze darted to the empty tabletop in front of isadora before gently inquiring "are you not getting anything to eat?"

Shaking her head isadora shrugs a small smile playing on her lips as she rests her head on the palm of her hand while the other stays on her thigh picking at the skin. "Nah not today" a hint of resignation appears in her voice "I didn't bring any money with me and I don't really feel like having the cafeteria food anyway, I'll eat when I get home" the lies roll easily off her tongue curling and twirling as she indulges herself in easy chatter with Theodora her eyes drifting to the lunch queue where suddenly fixating on the older woman her willowy statuesque figure stood tall before a gathering of people all waiting to get their food , a towering presence that seemed to command attention, isadoras eyes inevitably widened as they landed on Ms winters.

Ms winters demeanour excusing an aura of authority and intensity her gaze seemed to cut through the room like a knife each step she took carrying with it an air of command. Emerald eyes darting across the hall until landing on the young blonde sitting at her table with her friend. A charged moment as their eyes finally meet the buzz of the cafeteria seeming to fade in the background replaced by the steady hum of her own heart beating loudly in her ears.
