"Hey, here he comes."

Tim was sat in a wheelchair, a nurse behind him, trying to stop him from getting up.

"Yeah, no. I'm walking out of here."

The nurse tilted her head, "Officer. Hospital policy."

"I don't care."

The nurse rolled her eyes and wheeled him down the hall, "Who's picking you up?"

"A cab," he replied nonchalantly.

Jason, Angela, and Talia show up from the other end of the hall.

"Is that all we are to you?" Angela remarked.

"You know, it's funny," Talia pointed out, "He didn't tell us he was getting out. 'Cause he's a tough guy."

"Who doesn't need anybody's help," Jason continued, smirking.

"Are you three done yet?" Tim muttered.

"Nope," Angela took out her phone, "Smile!"

Jason positioned himself behind the very broody looking Bradford in the wheelchair for the selfie, and Talia leaned beside him.

"I hate you all."

.

"It doesn't matter, be combative, or be sweet cherry pie. It don't matter just as long as I get all you tonight...OH!"

Jason sang along to the song after getting out of his morning shower, about to treat himself with a cup of coffee. He let out a frustrated groan when his phone buzzed and showed 'Supercop' on the screen.

"Hey, it's model police officer T-i-m Bradford! What could he possibly want with a lowly officer such as me?"

The annoyed expression was palpable through his voice, "Quit it, Cain. I need you to do me favor."

Jason laid down on his couch, "Sure. Anything for the fresh-out-of-surgery-and-in-a-wheelchair Bradford."

Jason could feel him roll his eyes behind the screen, "Anyways. Could you ride with Chen today?"

Chen? Tim's rookie? Surely Grey wouldn't allow three cops in a shop during patrol, right? Especially when two of them are rookies.

"What? What about Bennett?" he questioned.

"Sarge told me your boot took three days off."

Boots don't get day offs. He remebers that clearly because he tried to take a day off when he was a rookie when his dad got in a car accident. He remembers thinking how absurd it is to not allow personal breaks. But his boot, Bennett, who only started the job for two days, has the entire week off? That's just insane.

Jason frowned in disbelief, "What? That's impossible."

"Yeah," Tim sighed, "Sarge said Captain Andersen approved of it."

This involves the captain? Interesting.

"Now about Chen, can you just...treat her really well? Like, too well?"

"What? That's against my character—and yours."

Tim raised his voice, "Well, I don't know. You could...write tickets all day?"

Jason laughed, "What the hell? I mean...yeah, I could do that. Hell, but you're gonna be the one explaining to Grey why your rookie didn't do shit today."

.

After Sergeant Grey finished reviewing Nolan's miserable bride chase, he cleared the board.

"Onward, Officer Chen is in need of a training officer until Tim Bradford is cleared for duty. Officer Cain, your rookie is absent, so you get the nod. That's it, be safe out there."
