Two weeks later...

It's been two weeks since anyone last saw Axel. She's been holed up in her music room, only coming out for basic hygiene. The band members are getting concerned-Luca is unsure of what to do, and Mino says to give her space, but Rae knows better. After all, Axel's her best friend.

Rae barges into the room, finding Axel slumped in her chair, still staring at the same spot on the wall.

"Hey, get up," Rae commands, no room for negotiation.

"Ugh..." Axel groans, barely lifting her head.

Rae narrows her eyes, daring Axel to resist. "Don't even think about it."

Axel sighs and reluctantly drags herself up. Her hair is a tangled mess, her clothes hanging off her like she's just rolled out of bed after days of ignoring the world.

Rae doesn't waste any time. As soon as Axel steps out, she points toward the bathroom. "Shower. Now."

Axel raises an eyebrow, trying to play it off. "Are you saying I stink or something?"

Rae crosses her arms, unphased. "Well, you don't exactly smell like rainbows and flowers."

Axel just sighs and heads to the shower, already knowing there's no point in arguing.

---

A few minutes later...

Axel emerges from the shower to find Rae has laid out some clothes for her. She quickly dresses and adds a few pieces of silver jewelry before grabbing her wallet, keys, and phone.

"Where are we going?" Axel asks, finally giving in, but still unsure what Rae has planned.

"The club," Rae answers with a smirk.

Axel frowns. "The club? What's that going to do for me?"

"You need to get out of the house," Rae says, her tone playful. "And where better than a club?"

"Rae, clubs aren't really my thing."

"Oh, please," Rae rolls her eyes. "Stop acting like a bitch and thug it out."

Axel sighs but doesn't protest further. She knows this is something Rae's not going to let her get out of.

At the Club...

They finally arrive at the club after showing their IDs to the bouncer, a guy Rae knows personally. Axel heads straight for the bar, knowing she'll need alcohol to survive this night.

Rae follows close behind, buying them both drinks. Axel's already lost in her own world when she notices Rae with a pretty blonde, clearly flirting.

Axel shakes her head. "That's not Rae's type. What's going on here?"

Sitting at the bar, she's interrupted by a woman who slides up next to her. "Gin and tonic, huh?" The woman grins.

Axel glanced at her, a fleeting thought crossing her mind: She's beautiful. But Freye's presence cut through her reverie like a sharp blade, the memory making her tighten her grip on the drink she had in her hand. She exhaled slowly, forcing herself to relax. "Yeah, what about it?"

"I was actually enjoying how your arms flexed when you picked it up," the woman adds, smirking.

Axel raises an eyebrow, confused by the forwardness. The woman grins wider. "You're pretty handsome, just my type. Figured I'd see if I could get your number."

Axel smirks, intrigued despite herself. "I don't give my number out that easily."

The woman laughs. "Guess I'll have to try a little harder then. I like a challenge."

They talk for a while, drinking and laughing, until the music changes, and the woman takes Axel's hand, pulling her toward the dance floor. They sway together, Axel's hands roaming across the woman's body. The alcohol is starting to hit, and the tension between them is undeniable.

After a few songs, they retreat to the bar again. The woman leans in, her lips almost brushing Axel's. "Can I get your number now?"

Axel, a mischievous grin on her lips, pulls back. "How about no."

The woman smirks. "Then I'll have to take something else." She leans in closer, her lips nearly touching Axel's when suddenly Rae intervenes, yanking Axel away.

"Back off," Rae snaps at the woman, glaring. Axel looks at her, confused, but Rae doesn't let go, dragging Axel away from the bar.

"What's going on?" Axel slurs, her words dragging, clearly intoxicated.

Rae huffs, her panic evident. "Freye's going to fucking kill me, and she's definitely gonna beat your ass."

Axel freezes, her heart dropping as she spots Freye standing a few feet away, an icy glare aimed straight at her. The realization hits hard. How long has she been there?

---

Outside the Club...

In the car, Axel's silence is suffocating. Freye's grip on the steering wheel is tight, her knuckles white. Her anger is palpable.

"I leave you alone for two weeks, Axel, and you go kissing a fucking bitch?" Freye's voice is tight, controlled but seething.

Axel mumbles, "We're not even dating..."

Freye slams on the brakes and pulls over with a sharp motion. She whips her head around, fury in her eyes. "What the fuck did you just say?"

Axel looks down, unsure of what to say, her mouth dry. "We... we're not dating, so it's not a big deal..."

Freye lifts Axel's chin, forcing her to meet her gaze. "You're mine, Axel. You understand that, right? You're fucking mine."

Axel's breath catches in her throat. "I understand..."

The tension in the car is thick. Freye turns the key in the ignition again, and they drive in silence for a while longer before pulling into a secluded driveway surrounded by forest. She parks in a garage.

Axel steps out of the car, unsure of where they are. "Where are we?"

Freye glances at her, a dry expression on her face. "My house."

Axel's eyes widen in surprise as Freye leads her inside.

---

At Freye's House...

Once inside, Freye heads straight for the kitchen, grabbing some water and Advil, handing it to Axel wordlessly. Axel swallows the pills, staring at Freye while she rinses out the cup.

Freye doesn't even look at her, but she mutters, "You're staring."

Axel smiles slightly, trying to lighten the mood. "You're gorgeous."

Freye's eyes narrows. "Clearly she was gorgeous, too," she says, her tone dripping with disdain, referring to the woman at the club.

Axel feels her blood boil. "I'm sorry."

Freye snorts. "Like you said, we're not dating, so no need to apologize." Her voice is mocking now, and Axel doesn't like it. But something about her saying they weren't dating grates at Axel, and that makes her blood run hot.

Freye turns her back to Axel, and before she knows it, Axel strides up behind her, spinning her around and pinning her against the counter.

Freye looks up, caught off guard, her breath hitching. Axel smirks. "Do you wish I kissed you instead?"

Freye's eyes slowly trace Axel's form from her hands to her neck before locking onto her lips. There's a moment of silence, the tension building.

Finally, Freye's smirk returns, seductive and dangerous. "Would you have kissed me?"

Axel's voice is breathless. "Yes."

The air between them crackles with intensity, but Axel doesn't take the step she was about to. They're standing too close, and yet something holds them back-something unspoken that neither is willing to address, at least not yet.
