The studio lights glared brightly as Axel adjusted the microphone in front of her. It had been years since she’d done a live interview, and the nerves buzzed faintly in her chest. She took a deep breath, brushing her hair out of her face as the interviewer, a polished woman with a warm smile, greeted the audience.

“Good evening, everyone, and welcome to The Spotlight. We have a very special guest with us today. After months of silence and speculation, Axel Levin, guitarist of Unleash and one of the most talked-about figures in music, is here to speak with us. Axel, thank you so much for being here.”

Axel offered a polite smile. “Thanks for having me.”

The interviewer leaned forward slightly, her body language warm but inquisitive. “First off, how are you feeling? It’s been a whirlwind for your fans lately, with your hiatus announcement and everything that’s followed.”

Axel nodded thoughtfully. “I’m doing better. Taking a step back was the best decision I could’ve made for myself. It gave me the space I needed to process things and reevaluate what matters most to me.”

The interviewer’s smile widened. “That’s great to hear. Your fans have been incredibly supportive, as we’ve seen in the outpouring of love online. But I think it’s safe to say everyone is curious—what led to the hiatus? Was it burnout, or something more?”

Axel shifted in her seat. “It was a combination of things. Being in the public eye for so long can take a toll, and I started to feel disconnected—from myself, from music, even from the people around me. I realized I needed to take a step back before I lost something I love.”

The interviewer nodded, her expression sympathetic. “That makes a lot of sense. Your message to fans mentioned finding your way back to music. Have you started that journey?”

A small smile crossed Axel’s face. “I have. Slowly. Music has always been my safe space, but I needed to redefine my relationship with it. Lately, I’ve been playing again, and it feels good—natural.”

“That’s wonderful to hear.” The interviewer glanced at her notes. “Now, you’ve been a part of Unleash since its inception. Can you tell us a bit about what it was like starting out with the band?”

Axel chuckled lightly. “It feels like a lifetime ago. We were just kids back then, figuring everything out as we went. The bond we had was special—still is, in a lot of ways. We weren’t just a band; we were family.”

The interviewer’s brows raised slightly. “There’s been a lot of speculation about your relationship with the band lately. Fans have noticed the absence of group photos, and rumors are swirling about a possible split. Can you address that?”

Axel’s smile faltered for a moment before she composed herself. “I won’t lie—things have been complicated. But that’s all part of growing, isn’t it? People change, relationships evolve, and sometimes you need space to figure out what’s next. I can’t speak for the future, but for now, I’m focusing on myself and my own path.”

The interviewer’s tone softened. “Understandable. Speaking of evolution, your fans are also curious about your social media activity—or lack thereof. You’ve been radio silent for months, and then you suddenly posted that heartfelt message. Was that planned, or did you feel it was time?”

Axel tilted her head slightly. “It wasn’t planned, per se. It just felt right. I wanted to acknowledge the people who’ve supported me and let them know I’m okay. I know the silence was hard for them—it was hard for me too—but it was necessary.”

The interviewer leaned in slightly. “That message sparked a wave of support, but it also raised questions about your future in music. There’s been speculation about whether you’ll return to Unleash or pursue a solo career. Can you shed any light on that?”

Axel hesitated, choosing her words carefully. “Right now, I’m taking it one step at a time. I haven’t made any decisions about the future, but I’m not closing any doors either. Music is still a huge part of my life, and I’m excited to see where it takes me.”

The interviewer nodded, her expression thoughtful. “Fair enough. Another topic that’s been on everyone’s mind is your relationship with Freya Allram. The two of you have been spotted together frequently, and fans have noticed a closeness that’s sparked plenty of rumors. Can you comment on that?”

Axel’s lips quirked into a faint smile. “Freya’s been an incredible friend and support system for me. She’s someone I trust completely, and I’m grateful to have her in my corner.”

The interviewer’s eyebrows lifted slightly at the choice of words but didn’t press further. “That’s lovely to hear. Lastly, your fans are dying to know—what’s next for Axel Levin? Are there any projects, collaborations, or surprises we should be looking forward to?”

Axel leaned back slightly, her fingers tapping lightly against the armrest. “I think I owe it to myself and my fans to take things slow. That being said, I’m working on something personal—something that feels true to who I am. It’s not ready yet, but when it is, you’ll be the first to know.”

The interviewer’s face lit up. “We’ll be eagerly waiting. Axel, thank you so much for taking the time to speak with us today. Your fans will be thrilled to hear from you.”

Axel nodded with a small smile. “Thank you for having me.”

As the cameras cut and the lights dimmed, Axel let out a breath she didn’t realize she’d been holding. The interview had been nerve-wracking but necessary—a step toward reclaiming her narrative, her life, and her music.
