Part 1: Rika and Lia

Rika spun in her chair at the studio table, her feet propped on the desk and her head tilted back as she belted out a tune entirely out of key. Lia was across the room, carefully placing sheet music in a neat stack, her every movement measured and deliberate.

“Rika,” Lia began, her voice calm but with a warning edge, “you’re going to fall.”

“No, I’m not,” Rika replied, mid-spin, completely unbothered. “I’ve got perfect balance!”

The next second, the chair tipped too far back, and Rika tumbled to the floor with a loud thud. She groaned dramatically, lying sprawled on the ground like she’d been mortally wounded.

“Told you,” Lia said, not even looking up from her task.

Rika stayed on the floor, one hand pressed to her chest. “You could at least pretend to care. I think I broke my soul.”

Lia sighed, finally turning to face her. “Your soul?”

“Yes, my soul!” Rika insisted, sitting up now, her short hair sticking up in all directions. “It’s fragile, you know.”

With a quiet laugh, Lia walked over and offered her a hand. “Come on, you big baby.”

Rika took it, grinning as she was pulled to her feet. Instead of letting go, she tugged Lia closer, wrapping her arms around her waist. Lia, ever the composed one, shook her head but didn’t pull away.

“You love me,” Rika teased, her voice sing-songy.

“Unfortunately,” Lia replied, though her smile betrayed her words.

Rika leaned her forehead against Lia’s. “You’re so serious all the time. Loosen up a little, would you?”

“I’m serious because one of us has to be,” Lia shot back.

“And aren’t you glad it’s me?” Rika quipped, earning a quiet laugh from Lia.

“Sometimes,” Lia admitted, running her fingers through Rika’s hair to smooth it down. “Other times, you drive me insane.”

“Good thing you’re stuck with me, then,” Rika said with a wink, leaning in to kiss her.

Their relationship thrived on these small moments—a perfect blend of chaos and calm. Rika’s energy was relentless, but Lia’s steady presence grounded her. And though Lia often found herself cleaning up after Rika’s antics, she wouldn’t have it any other way.

As the evening wore on, they settled on the couch, Rika stretched out with her head in Lia’s lap. Lia absentmindedly ran her fingers through Rika’s hair, her free hand holding a book.

“You know,” Rika said suddenly, her voice softer now, “I think we balance each other out pretty well.”

Lia glanced down at her, a small smile playing on her lips. “Yeah. We do.”

Part 2: Mino and Ethan

Mino tossed a pillow at Ethan, who caught it mid-air with an exaggerated flourish.

“You think you’re so smooth,” Ethan said, setting the pillow aside.

“I know I’m smooth,” Mino replied, lounging on the couch with a smug grin.

Ethan rolled his eyes, crossing his arms as he leaned against the doorway. “You’re insufferable.”

“And yet, you love me,” Mino shot back, winking.

Ethan sighed dramatically but couldn’t hide the small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “I’m starting to question why.”

“Because I’m charming, ridiculously good-looking, and I make the best pancakes,” Mino said, ticking off each point on his fingers.

Ethan arched a brow. “The pancakes are why I’m here?”

“Don’t act like they’re not part of the reason,” Mino teased, earning a laugh from Ethan.

Despite Mino’s cocky demeanor, there was an undeniable warmth to him—a quiet kindness that Ethan had grown to love. It was in the way he always made sure Ethan’s favorite snacks were stocked in the pantry, or how he’d stay up late just to keep him company during long work nights.

“You’re staring again,” Ethan said, breaking the silence.

“Can you blame me?” Mino replied without missing a beat.

Ethan groaned, throwing his hands up in mock exasperation. “You’re impossible.”

“And yet, here you are,” Mino said with a grin, echoing the phrase he’d used countless times before.

Their dynamic was built on a foundation of playful banter. Ethan often joked that Mino’s confidence bordered on arrogance, but it was that very confidence that had drawn him in. Mino, on the other hand, adored Ethan’s quick wit and sharp tongue, even when it was aimed at him.

As they sat together later that night, Ethan resting his head on Mino’s shoulder, the room fell into a comfortable silence.

“You know,” Ethan began, his voice quieter now, “you drive me crazy sometimes.”

“Only sometimes?” Mino teased, wrapping an arm around him.

Ethan laughed softly. “Okay, most of the time. But I wouldn’t change a thing.”

Mino pressed a kiss to the top of Ethan’s head. “Neither would I.”

They didn’t need grand gestures or dramatic declarations. Their love was in the little things—the teasing remarks, the stolen glances, the quiet moments when words weren’t needed. It was imperfect, chaotic, and utterly perfect.
