SOMETHING UNEXPECTED

Chapter 19

Tim's POV

Today was the day of the Gender Reveal Party. Lucy's had stayed at Celina's tonight because Tamara needed our garden to get everything ready and didn't want us to see anything beforehand.
I had slept over at Angela and Wesley's.
Lucy and I should definitely wear something white today according to Tamara and Celina.
I put on a pair of light gray pants with a white button up shirt.
Before I went to the house with Angela and Wesley.
When we went into the house, everyone else was already there.

Lucy was wearing a white dress that came down to her knee and the back of the dress was open.

I went over to her "Hey, nervous already?" I asked her.
I would have loved to kiss her and tell her how beautiful she was, but I couldn't do that in front of the others.
After all, they still didn't know about us.
"Hey, yes a little bit but I'm much happier that we're finally going to know what the two little boots are going to be" she said with a smile and stroked her baby bump, which was nicely emphasized by the dress.

Tamara and Celina came in from the garden and led us all into the garden.
The garden was full of pink and blue balloons. A candy bar was set up at the side where everything was also mixed in blue and pink.
Next to the big tree was a huge sign that read 'Two little Chen's or two little Bradford's? One thing is for sure, double trouble and double love will come' with pictures of me and Lucy.

"Wow you two this is amazing" Lucy said with tears in her eyes and hugged them both.
I hugged them both afterwards too. "You did a really great job." I praised them both.
Tamara took Lucy and me by the hand and pulled us over to Celina on a white tarpaulin that lay across the lawn.
"We don't want to keep you two and everyone else in suspense for that long, but Celina and I had each thought of three things we hope your babies will get from each of you. Celina go first" said Tamara.

"So I want your babies to have Lucy's smile, her strength and her patience. Tim they should get your hair, your wisedom and your love for Kojo." Celina said with a grin and then looked at Tamara who continued.

"So I want your babies to have Lucy's looks, her love and her muscles because we all have to be honest. Lucy has more muscles than Tim, so they can just be two little Lucy's and I will be okay with it. Everyone here knows I love her and Tim, I only accept you because she likes you sometimes."
Everybody just nodded and laughed.
I give her a stern look, then she continued saying  "But thats not true anymore, you are also very close to my heart. You're both like parents to me. So of course I want them to have some of your qualities Tim, like your eyes, your credit score and your pancake skills. Let's be honest, Lucy burns her pancakes quite often and her credit score is in need of improvement."

Everyone had to laugh when Tamara spoke but she was right Lucy's pancakes and credit score left much to be desired.

Celina took two water pistols and gave one to me and one to Lucy. "There's colored water in the guns that you have to shoot each other with to see what the sexes of the babies are. Lucy's doctor is sure that they are identical twins and will therefore be the same sex. But we still have Lucy's gun for baby A's gender and Tim's gun for baby B's gender. We're all going to count backwards from three and then you can shoot each other."
Lucy and I nodded excitedly because we were both so looking forward to this moment.

Celina and Tamara went to all the other guests and kept a safe distance so that they didn't get the colored water.
Everyone started counting backwards from three. "Three,two,one!"

Lucy and I started shooting each other with the water pistols.
Blue colored water came out.

Lucy started jumping for joy and threw her arms around my neck.
I couldn't believe it. We were going to have two little boys.

I was so happy and hugged Lucy tightly and whispered in her ear "So you were right with your feeling that there would be two boys, but that just gives me one more reason to get you pregnant again one day and have a little princess."

Lucy had to giggle when I whispered this in her ear and whispered. "But next time, please let it be planned and only one baby. What will you do if it's a boy again?"
I grinned and whispered in her ear again. "Then I'll repeat the part about getting you pregnant until we have a little girl. After all, that part is a lot of fun and we're extremely good at it."
Lucy laughed slightly and nodded.

Everyone took pictures of us and filmed us shooting at each other with the water pistols.

We got down from the white tarpaulin and went to all our guests. Everyone hugged us and rejoiced with us.
We all sat down and had something to eat and we all talked. It was a wonderful atmosphere to spend the day with all our loved ones.

In the evening, I looked at Angela and gave her a sign.
Angela stood up and placed a chair in the middle of the garden. "Lucy, I'd like you to sit on this chair. I have a game planned for you."
Lucy stood up and looked at me in confusion, but I just shrugged my shoulders and pretended not to know what Angela wanted from her. 

She sat down on the chair and everyone looked at her and Angela intently.
"Lucy, I'm going to blindfold you and give you things that you can touch and that you will need in your new everyday life as a mother, and you have to guess what these things might be" said Angela and Lucy nodded.
She was blindfolded by Angela.
Angela held out various things to her such as a baby bottle, pacifier and various baby clothes. Lucy guessed them all correctly.

Angela then looked at me and I stood up and came over to the two of them.
I signaled everyone to be quiet.

I took a ring box out of my pocket, took the ring out of the box and knelt down in front of Lucy.
