Albus and Gellert have made amends, their back to being friends. You would expect things to go back to normal; however, things have changed. The two boys would do anything to avoid the youngest Dumbledore.
They continued their work in Gellert's room. Ariana could only wonder how close they were to finding the Elder Wand. Gellert hasn't spoken to her, he hasn't gazed at her on the few times he comes to visit Albus.
This broke Ariana, she began to believe that Gellert never loved her. Like Albus says, she was a tool for his entertainment. She would cry at night feeling alone with a dark spirit tormenting her. However, it didn't take long for Albus to lock her in the basement as she kept losing control of her power.
The way Albus looks at her is pure hatred. He no longer cared about her. She felt alone; not even her brother Aberforth could do anything to help her.
In this solace cold basement, alone with her dark thoughts.
"He sees you as a monster. They fear you! Cowards!" the voice in her head spoke
"No, he doesn't. He is my brother. He cares for me," Ariana argued with the voice in her head.
"Then, why are we here? This rotten close place is because they fear you. Even your beloved Gellert knows the monster you are. He hasn't come to save us"
Ariana cried at the thought of Gellert. She has wished him to come back to her.
"You love him?"
"I do"
"Stupid girl, he no longer cares about you. Your brother is right, the blond one had fun with you. All he thinks of you is garbage. You are WORTHLESS!"
Ariana continued to cry," No, he loves me."
The voice laughs maniacally," He probably lied to you. He manipulated you and tossed you like garbage. That's how dark he is; he will do a fine Dark Wizard, and destroy many lives."
"No! Stop it!" Ariana covered her ears. She couldn't tolerate this pain.
"Don't you get it, they haven't let you out because you are a disturbance. Look the sun is out, they haven't let you out. I bet they slept well last night and are enjoying breakfast without you. They are happy without you."
Ariana could see glimpses of the sun. She could hear upstairs the chairs and the smell of fresh breakfast. She could hear the voice of Albus and Gellert talking about visiting a special wandmaker. She knew what it meant, they were about to own the most powerful wand.
Then, she heard Aberforth argue with them. He began to blabber about how Albus is an idiot to find an absurd fairtail object. Then, complaining about her, how Albus has been locking her in the basement. How irresponsible he is. How their parents would disapprove of them. How are parents would be disappointed in Albus?
