After we changed our clothes we both looked silly. I felt heavy dressed up in all these gowns and immediately began sweating. I didn't know if Bellatrix's plan would work. I looked nothing like any of the Black Liberators' women, although Bellatrix fit in a little more. Still, I could agree that her looks were ridiculous. She passed me my blaster back and gave me a reassuring fist bump. "Now we just have to make it out." she sighed.
"Wait, what? How about Drake? We can't leave him behind."
I would never leave without Drake. We've hurt each other but that only brought us closer, he was the only friend that I ever wanted.
"Drake... Are you sure that boy really wants to come? I mean, you heard those guys, if he really is their heir maybe he'll be chillin' here" she told me, but I brushed her words away.
"No, he is not staying here, unless I hear him say that he wants to be here." I walked out from our little hiding place and started to head in a random direction.
"Well, have you considered why he kept it a secret? That he is one of... the fuckers." She whispered the last word, trying to keep up with me.
"He didn't know about it, that's it. We've known each other for a long time, he would tell me that if he knew. Besides, we only found out about their existence not longer than a week ago." I said, feeling hurt from Bellatrix's words.
"Sure, princess. I still owe you, guys, my life, so... If one of you is trapped in crap, I will do my best to take you out." she giggled and made me smile with that, but now it was time to be serious.
"Why do you call me princess?" I stopped and looked at her, probably disturbing street's traffic and drawing attention to us.
"I won't." she said simply and pushed me a little to keep walking.
I didn't know where I was going and soon I began to get desperate. My thought got messed up and I was unable to think clearly, imagining everything that they could do to my friend. What if because of me he gets stuck here forever? What if they kill him? I wanted to ask somebody from the streets to help me, to point to where me friend was held, but it wasn't wise, I didn't speak their language so I would soon reveal myself. I was trying to look at the crooked buildings that we were passing, made of whatever was found useful, and solve this city maze like a puzzle. It looked different from the part that was abandoned, less peaceful and more dirty. Greens and trees were nowhere to be seen, which made walking through the crowd even more burdening.
It seemed like we've explored every single corner of the city as the sun was starting to slide down the sky. I looked at the smoke, coming from somewhere far and wondered if they realized that we escaped already. In any case, we had to get out of here quickly, because I was drowned with the smell of these streets, in addition, people around were beginning to rise a suspicion. I kept catching more and more quick and interested gazes on me.
"Bellatrix," I called for her after a moment of hesitation. "Where do you think he could be?"
She was quiet for a few minutes, struggling with her long skirt, which was obviously unusual to her. "Well, they wouldn't accept a stranger so easily. Knowing their kind, those fuckers... "Her face went blank for a minute. "Oh look." she pointed somewhere and I saw one of the guards that we had previously seen in that hall full of crosses.
He was walking out of a building, angry, keeping his fists clenched. All buildings here had signs with names on them, which I couldn't read, but it seemed that they helped citizens to orient themselves better. The one on the building in front of us had pretty cursive letters, but what most impressed me was that it had droplets of blood on them. For some reason I felt like we had to go in, but that feeling also appeared before we got trapped in here, so I didn't know if I could trust it.
