Chapter 7

Link's POV:
After talking about something other than food to keep my mind off the food, the waitress arrived. Strange, this was a different one... maybe this waitress just handled the food? I stopped caring the moment I saw the steak.

"Having a fun time?" The waitress asked me with a smirk. "Yeah?" I responded confused. "I can show you a better time," The waitress sat on the table. "Back at mi-" I interrupted the waitress.

"No thanks, I just want the food." I interrupted simply. She grabbed my hand and tried to pull me away, but I just kind of froze. She tried and tried, but she eventually gave up as she couldn't pull me.

"Come on big boy, I can show you to wield a sword" she winked at the last part. "No thanks, I really just want my food." I said, squirming at how uncomfortable I was.

"You want more than food, I can tell." She tried to grab the hem of my shirt, before getting slapped across the face by Zelda. "Have you no decency? He just said no, so leave him alone!" She said, obvious anger in her tone.

The waitress looked at her with disgust, and with a scoff she haphazardly set the plates on the table. "Thanks Zel," I said sheepishly.

"No problem, but sometimes you have to protect yourself," she said before grabbing her plate. I kissed her on the cheek, watching red explode across her face.

I tried to hide mine, as it was the exact color as mine. I also grabbed my plate, praying to Hylia that waitress didn't do anything to it. I ate too quickly and started choking.

Zelda started freaking out and tears rolled her cheek. "Zelda, I'm fine! I'm promise I'm fine!" I said, wiping her tears with my thumb. "Sorry," she said looking down and playing with her food.

Zelda's POV:
After finishing our food and drink, we prepared to leave. The waitress came over, a completely new one this time, thank Hylia. She was taking us to the counter when, " Hey, pretty girl, come over here!" A man said.

He was a 20ish year old bald man. He had muscles, but Link's were more impressive. "What?" I said tiredly. "Oooh, feisty!" He almost purred. "Come drink with us!" He said, with the ugliest smirk I ever saw.

"No, I'm leaving actually," I replied simply. Apparently, he didn't like that. "Nuh uh, you're coming with me!" He said. "Back off, dude!" Link said, stepping in front of me and shoving him.

He shoved Link on the ground. "You hanging out with this twerp?" He said with a scoff. This made me snap, I saw red as I punched him in the face. He fell flat on his behind.

He growled before getting up and leaving the tavern. "Thanks, Zel. Though next time, let me handle it, alright?" He said with a smile. "Never!" I said with a cheeky grin.

His smiler only grew wider. "Hey, thanks for that, he's been harassing everyone all night!" The bartender said. "How bout I make you a deal? If you can drink these five shots in one sitting." She said, leading us to the counter.

"If you do, you get everything for free. If you fail, you still have to pay, plus the 5 shots. Deal?" The bartender asked expectantly. "Hey-" Link started. "Deal!" I said.

Link looked at me like I ripped someone's throat out. "Ok then! This is gonna be good..." the bartender chuckled.

Link's POV:

I watched nervously as she walked up to it. Would she be able to handle this? This wasn't wine, it was beer. And it was at a tavern, not a castle.

As I was musing over this, she had already finished it. I stared astonished, she had really done it, and so fast? "Wow! That was really fast!" The bartender said amused. "As promised, it's free!" They both smiled, Zelda's face quite red.

Link wrapped his arm around her to keep her balanced. There never really was one reason with them. They walked out together, other than a few things the evening was going great!
