Slight animal abuse themes, it is light, but still there, so beware if that triggers you.

Link's POV:
"When was the first Calamity?" Aryll read the question aloud. "Simple, 10,000 years ago!" Aryll said, scribbling the answer down on her page. Zelda clapped with a huge smile, while I was not impressed. "Oh wow, you know simple history, congratulations" I said with a slow clap and eye roll. She raised her book as if to warn me, and Zelda groaned.

"Can you get along for more than 5 minutes?" Zelda asked, already tired of us two. "Have you ever had anyone like a sibling before?" I asked. "You of all people should know the answer" Zelda said. I heard Aryll snicker. "Me?" I asked, pointing at my chest with my two thumbs. She laughed and said, "A little bit, but I think of you as a little more" Wait a minute, what?

Aryll put her head on her books and started dying from laughter. I felt heat in my face, and subsequently tried to bury it in a book. It took Zelda a few seconds to realize what she had said, and she was confused, before turning redder than Aryll's notebook. "T-tha-that's really not what I me-meant!" She said, a bit louder than I bet she intended to.

She gave up with a groan, slamming her head into the table. She immediately recoiled, holding her hand against her forehead. I laughed  a bit at that one, and she glared at me like I murdered her family. Chills ran down my body, and I was suddenly very scared of what she was about to do. "Anyway, that was the last of the history work, correct?" Zelda asked, lifting her eyes from the table.

Aryll nodded. She put the history book on the book, and pulled out the last book, arithmetic. My worst subject. Aryll pulled out her book, and oh my Hylia. This looked more complicated than trying to decipher the ancient Shekiah's language, with no experience or guide. I think Zelda saw my look of horror, as she looked like she was calculating a plan.

She looked like a lightbulb suddenly appeared over her head, in fact, I think I saw a little gold on her hand. "Link, what about the food?" She asked, and Aryll looked suspicious. "Oh right, the sun is about to set! The sauce should be done by now!" I said, taking this amazing opportunity to rush out the door. As I threw open the door, Aryll lovingly called out, "If you burn that rice, I'll shove you off the cliff!"

She was so supportive of me, so caring, and so kind to me, her brother. There was the cooking pot, smelling so good I bet Aryll could pass out, or maybe even Zelda. That would be very interesting, but terrifying to see. I think I would have a heart attack if that happened. Possibly jump off a cliff since it could be my fault.

I walked over to the pot, looking at the simmering sauce, amazing beautiful. It was a perfect red, with all the seasonings and vegetables floating around. I walked back in the house, getting even more suspicious looks from Aryll. I grabbed a few bowls, when I noticed a sheet across where the small storage room entrance was.

"What's this?" I asked, turning around to face the table. "Oh, that's my room" Aryll said simply. I dropped all the bowls. "YOU GET YOUR OWN ROOM?!" I asked with a wide open mouth. She got her own room, when I was her age, I was either sleeping in the barracks, or sharing a bed with my father. Sometimes me and Aryll would share a bed. Aryll usually got a few boxes with pillows.

Which was definitely better than what I got, but whatever. I picked the bowls up and I caught Zelda giving me a weird look. "You didn't get your own room?" She asked. "I didn't even get my own bed!" I said while chuckling. She looked even more confused. "We were pretty poor, most of Hateno is, since we're almost all farmers" I explained.

"Maybe I could get some extra funds headed this way" Zelda thought aloud. "I'm sure someone could that money" I said simply. "Oh Link, I completely forgot!"Aryll suddenly said. "What?" I said, very confused about what she was talking about. "There's a potluck today!" She said. "When?" I asked. "Sunset! She said, collecting her things.

I mentally face palmed, almost doing it physically too. "You're lucky I decided to do the rice at there same time" I said, quite annoyed she was remembering this now. When Aryll walked out of the room, Zelda turned to me. "What in the name of Hylia is a potluck?!" She said, obviously stressed about it. I laughed and explained it to her.
