The Blights were an infamous sports family, with Alador Blight being the coach of the NYU Violets with his wife's company as their main sponser. Edric and Emira, the Blight Twins, both took different paths as their family with Edric being the best pitcher in all of New York and Emira being captain of the NYU womens' lacrosse team, leading the team to championship wins against Yale, Hofstra, and more.
The youngest child, Amity Blight, was well known in her own right, at only 20 years old, she managed to become the best goalkeeper on the University of Bonesborough's womens' soccer team. Safe to say the Blights are very talented in the physical side and mental side of things, with all three children graduating highschool as top students with scholarships lined up.
Amity's POV (Mar 15, Thursday)
Amity enjoyed the rush of early morning practices, though her teammates always complained about being awoken at the crack of dawn for training before classes started."Come on, girls," Coach Lilith said with a clap, "I know it's hard to adjust, because today is the first practice of the season, we'll take it easy. Today we are starting with a lap around the field, then shooting drills, and at the end if you cooperate, we can do a scrimmage."
The team collectivly groaned, "Do we really need to do laps?" Boscha whined "I woke up, like, two seconds ago." "Boscha don't be an ass, besides, at least we can scrimmage today." Skara said, accentuating her words with a slap to Boscha's shoulder. Coach Lilith sighed, "Watch your language, Skara. And Amity, I need to talk to you for a second."
"Amity, I understand the team looks up to you, as our goalie, you are a crucial part of our team. So that is why I want you to be the new captain of the Bonesborough Banshees." "Coach Lilith, thank you so much, I will not let you down, Blight's honour." Coach Lilith chuckled a bit at the last statement, "Ok Amity, now go run your laps."
Amity quickly caught up to Skara and Boscha jogging while having a heated discussion about something, "Just because I have a dog doesn't mean I'm a furry, Skara, Maya is smarter than you anyways." Boscha puffed out, "Why are we talking about furries?" Amity asked, "Because Skara thinks I'm secretly a furry, WHICH I'M NOT BY THE WAY!" Said an clearly irritated Boscha, "It's ok B, I won't judge you for being a furry." Skara giggled, "I'M NOT A FURRY, YOU BITCH!" Boscha screamed, "Whatever," Amity said with a playful eye roll, "I'm finishing my lap away from the furry." "Wait, no! Take me with you!" Skara said, suddenly erupting in a fit of laughter.
After the lap, Amity crouched down on and quickly gulped down half of her water, "Hey Coach Lilith," Amity said while standing up, "When's our next game?" "It's this Saturday at 4 pm, we're playing against the Gravesfield Ghouls." Coach Lilith replied, "By the way Amity, tell your mother about your secret, sooner then later." "Ok Coach Lilith, thank you."
