Chapter 13 - Artist's girl

Luz was humming a song under her breath, she flicked her eyes up, "Great job Ams! What are you painting?" Amity smiled, "Oh, it's just a tree." "Well, thats a damn good tree!" Luz put her brushes down, "I love the birds, they're so cute!" "Thanks Luz, what are you painting?" Luz beamed and gestured to the painting, "It's Eda's cottage! I basically grew up there with my siblings."

Amity scanned the painting with her eyes, the brushstrokes were lined up in a way that made the painting look like it was made with pure emotion. "How many siblings do you have again?" Amity asked, "Well it's only Vee and Hunter, but King and Gabriel are Eda's kids. What about you?" Luz listed the names off of her fingers. (Gabriel is the collector. Like that one Brazilian meme, Enzo Gabriel, IPad Kid.)

"I only have Ed and Em, they're both huge pains in my ass." Amity looked to Luz who was smiling softly at her, Amity felt her heart skip a beat, "You remind me of a cat, did you know that?" Luz whispered, "Amity blushed, "Ahaha, uh anyways, what do I do now? I finished painting." "Oh, we can put it against the wall, we can come back tomorrow to pick them up." Amity nodded, "Do you want the shirt back?" "Nah, it looks better on you."

Time skip to car (sorry im lazy 😞)

"Ok lets get going, oh by the way Ams you have paint on your nose." Luz said searching in her bag for her keys, Amity barely had time to react before Luz reached up and grabbed her face, gently of course, she squeezed her eyes shut as a baby wipe glided along her skin, wiping away the paint Amity had gotten on herself. "There ya go! All clean." Luz's voice came out from a spot far closer to Amity than she expected.

Amity's eyes flew open and frantically looked around, her gaze settling on Luz's lips, which were mere inches away from her face. Should she do it? She should. Amity lunged forward, her lips crashing into Luz's. They fumbled around a bit before Amity pulled away, gasping for air, "I-I'm so sorry! I didn't even ask you first, gosh I'm so- mmf!"

She was cut off as Luz kissed her, she felt soft and warm, Amity could feel Luz's tongue tease her lips, she let her tongue in. Luz hesitated, but moved her tongue deeper into Amity's mouth, exploring every inch of it. This time, Luz pulled away first, a light blush dusting her caramel skin, "I forgot we're still in the car, sorry!" Amity blushed hard, harder than she had ever blushed before.

"Please," Amity breathed, "Can we continue this in the dorm?" Luz smirked, "Taking me home on the second date? Why, Ms. Blight, you're certainly very goal oriented." Amity giggled a little, "Well yeah, I'm a goalkeeper." Luz laughed, a warm genuine laugh that came from her chest, Amity followed in suit. Soon, both of them were wheezing for air.
