Chapter 3 - Poor Mittens... Falling too hard can hurt your head

Amity POV (April 17, Wednesday)

A month later from the day she met Luz, Amity got home from a study session with her friends to find her parents, Coach Lilith, and Headmaster Bump all sitting on the couch waiting for her. "Hello, Mother, Father, Coach Lilith, and Headmaster Bump." Amity said, dropping her bag at the door, "Come Amity, sit with us." Her mom said, Amity sat down across from all four older adults. "Amity," Headmaster Bump began, "We want you to see this as a new opportunity, not a punishment." "Amity, you're getting transferred." "What?!" Amity sputtered, jumping up, "Watch your tone Amity, sit down." Odalia snapped, Amity complied.

"If I may why?" Amity said after taking a deep breath, Odalia shot her a quick icy smile. "Well Amity, its because Gravesfield has a better Clinical Labratory Sciences department, and of course their soccer team has been needing a new goalie." Said Coach Lilith with a slight smile, "Of course, over the summer you will be training with your current team but you shall be moving to the dorms in the beginning of the new semester."

Amity already knew she had no choice in the matter, but the name Gravesfield had rung a bell in her mind.

Hey Luz, you go to Gravesfield, right?
Luz
yeah!! whyd you ask?
Amity
Oh nothing... Just the fact I'm transferring there next semester...
Luz

Amity
Haha, calm down. I'm moving to the dorms in August.
Luz
that's great!!!11! ive been looking for a new roomie since viney graduated

Viney? Your team goalie right?
Luz
yeah!! i guess thats why ur being transferred haha
Amity
Yeah... Anyways, I have to go now! Call tomorrow?
Luz

Amity POV (July 29, Wednesday)
Amity was fully enamored with Luz. They had video called many times, and all Amity could do was stare at the other girl's pretty smile and glittering eyes. She was in a trance listening to Luz's bubbly voice excitedly describing a cool squirrel she had saw when suddenly the other girl said something that surprised Amity.

"Hey Ams," Luz said, "You wanna go out to get coffee?" "W-what?" Amity sputtered, "Do you wanna go out for coffee? When you get here, of course." Luz asked again, "Sure!" Amity said, she wondered if the volume was too loud but judging the ecstatic look on Luz's face, she calmed down a bit. "How about "Uh-haha, I have to go now Luz, bye!" Amity said suddenly, she grabbed a pillow and screamed her lungs out into it. She knew she had to calm down, Luz was probably straight and was asking as a friend.

"Hey Mittens..." Ed and Em said in sync as they slid into Amity's room, "What was that about?" Amity scoffed, "None of your business." "Oh come on Mittens! I just want to make new memories with my little sis before she moves two hours away!" Ed whined playfully, "Mittens I can see you're blushing. What did your dream girl say this time?" Em said, shoving Ed's face away. "She asked me on a date." Amity whispered, "What's that?" Ed smirked, "She asked me on a date, as a friend of course!" Amity mumbled, "Ooh Mittens!" The twins crooned at the same time, "Are you excited?" "I mean... kinda?" Amity shrugged, "I don't know if she's gay or not." "Just shoot your shot Mittens!" Ed said, punching her shoulder.

"Anyways, do ya want any help to finish packing?" Em asked, "Sure, thanks Emira."

Amity POV (Aug 3, Monday)

Today was move-in day. Luz had invited her to be her new roommate a few weeks ago and Amity thought she would pass away from what she said. Amity opened the car door and stepped out, squinting her eyes a bit from the sun.

"Hey Ams!" Luz called from her spot leaning on the wall, Luz looked hotter than Amity remembered, wearing a white tank top, green cargo jacket, and black ripped jeans. Her hair was tied into a pony tail, sticking out of a red beanie on her head. Luz waved and walked over, "Hey Luz." Amity said, "How are you?" "Great! Now that you're here of course!" Luz responded cheerily, Amity felt a blush creep onto her face.

1 hour later (after transporting the boxes to their dorm)
"Hey Mittens, we have to go, its gonna get dark soon." Ed said giving Amity a long hug, Em nodded, hugging her next, "Call us when you get settled, ok?" Amity smiled, "Ok guys, have a safe trip back." "Seeya Mittens!" Ed called, "Love ya!" Em added, Amity rolled her eyes and waved, "Bye guys.".

Luz chuckled, "Mittens huh, that's cute." Amity blushed, "S-shut up!", Luz smiled "Cmon, lets get you unpacked." Luz grabbed her shoulder and squeezed, Amity shuddered under her touch, "Oh are you cold? Here have my jacket!" Luz said, taking off her coat and draping it over Amity's shoulders, she pulled the jacket over her arms, absorbing Luz's scent, while doing that, she got to take in the sight of the other girl's toned arms in the fading daylight. Amity groaned silently to herself, how was she going to survive sharing a dorm with her crush?

yayyyy! chapter 3! i was kinda rushing this chap so its kinda bad, i want to add more amity gay panic and oblivious luz to this story ahhhh
also i have obtained my ao3 acc! its kingoftitansss (same as this acc) i havent posted anything yet but im so excited!
