Emelia honestly felt refreshed after seeing her dad and Buck at the station. Just four days had her moping around the house. She didn't realize how much she needed them around.

Buck messaged her just after she got home to check on her. She assured him that she was okay but he seemed less than convinced.

Now she is getting ready to take a quick nap before going to pick May up late from her shift. It was already dark out, way past midnight for sure and Emelia was just about to crawl into bed when May calls.

"Please don't tell me your working a double again. I need to see you." Emelia has her eyes closed when she answers the phone, buried beneath a pile of blankets but shoots up out of bed when she hears May sniffle.

"May?"

"Harry's missing." She says, her voice trembling. "Jeffery took him and I don't know what to do."

Emelia immediately is taken back to the tsunami. She can't seem to forget the fear coursing through her veins when she lost sight of him. Or when the air left her lungs and her entire body stopped working because she thought she lost him. They're is no explanation for how she felt that day. No rhyme or reason as to how debilitating is it to loose someone like that. Your brother no less.

Emelia know exactly what May is feeling and thinking, which mean she's knows there is nothing she can do besides be there for her until he is found. Her mind is clouded and her heart is broken. Mays world has just crumbled around her and until Harry is found there is nothing she can do to slow or stop it.

"I'm coming to you."

"Emelia, I don't know what to do. I can't breath. I can't think." May is mumbling now, Emelia can sense her pacing across the dispatch centre.

"Just stay put okay. I'm coming to you." Emelia says, promising to get there no matter what before hanging up the phone to sneak past Ana. Her heart absolutely shatters for May. Knowing these is absolutely nothing that can fill that void until she can hug him and see his smile again.

"Where are you going?" Ana asks sweetly from the couch. This woman's sixth sense has to be knowing when exactly to mess with Emelias life.

"I'm going to May, Harry is missing. She needs me." Emelia says plainly, not in the mood for another argument

"It's past midnight, you can't leave."

Emelia is already halfway out the door. She was more than pissed at Ana. What right did that woman have to tell her what to do?

"I wasn't asking for permission. My girlfriend needs me. I am going." Emelia says sternly, leaving no room for argument. Her sweatpants hang low around her ankles as she tugs on her shoes.

"It is way too late to be running around with your girlfriend."

Emelia chooses, very bravely, to not comment on her condescending tone. It's not like she plans on listening to anything she had to say.

"I'm going." Emelia says, once again ready to run out the door when something tugs at her chest. She can't explain it. But she turns on her heels quickly and belines for Christopher's room.

She quietly opens the door, ignoring Ana's glare. The older woman acting as if Chris was some baby who needed to be rocked back to sleep if he woke up.

"Chris." She whisper yelled. He rolls over to face her. His hair a mess but his eyes wide awake. He grins in her direction.

"I'm heading out for a bit. I love you."

"Love you." He giggles.

With that Emelia finally makes it out the door, ignoring Ana's blazing glare behind her.

Emelia is 5 minutes into her drive when she calls May again.

"Hey," May picked up in a rush.

"Hey, I'll be there in 15 minutes. What do you know?"

Emelia listens to every word May says to her. What she knows, what she doesn't know and everything in between.

It hurts more than anything but it's all Emelia can do for her at the moment.

"Hey deep breathes okay. Your mom is going to find him. You know that." Emelia promises.

"But I don't. What if that creep..." May can't bring herself to finish that sentence. She can't utter it into the world like it is at all a possibility.

"Don't think like that, it will only make it hurt more." Waiting anxiously at the red light ahead of her, Emelia doesn't even check before she presses her foot on the gas as the light turns bright green.

"I know..." May is cut off by the sound of tires screeching. She can hear glass breaking and metal crunching together. It's so damn loud and quick, she blinks and it's over.

If May concentrates hard enough she can hear the sound of hazard lights blinking angrily.

Her focus waivers and there is only silence. She fights to hear something. Emelias voice. Footsteps. Glass shattering. Something. Anything.

"Emelia?"

It's so quiet. She can only hear her racing heart.

"Emelia? Please answer me."

Nothing.

"Emelia!" She yells, catching the attention of everyone around her. Josh approaches her, placing a hand on her shoulder that causes her to flinch.

"She won't answer me. I can't... She..." May frantically looks to Josh before she scans the dispatch. Searching for an emergency call. Josh can't get through to her, he asks again what is happening but May can only focus on the scene around her. She spots Linda, repeating the word's car accident back to the person on the call.

May spins out of her chair and rushes over. Hopping on the call with her.

"He just took off. He hit her and drove off."

"Okay sir, I'm going to have to get you to focus on the girl in the car. Can you see if she is breathing?" Linda says.

"No, I don't know. Her eyes are closed." May's heart drops to her stomach, she presses the spacebar to cut in.

"What car was she driving?"

The man stuttered and May repeated the question. Begging him to answer.

"What car?"

Once again the world goes quiet and the walls around May seem to grow smaller and smaller by the second. All May can hear after he tells her what car was in the crash in the ringing in her ears.

It's her car. Emelia was driving her car. Her entire world is crumbling around her and there is nothing she can do to stop it.

She swears her vision blurs before it focuses on the words written on Linda's screen.

Car struck the driver's side. Airbag deployed. Driver unconscious. Visible bleeding from the left side of head. Pinned by the driver side door. Breathing unknown.

"Help is on the way." Linda says and Josh is finally able to shake May out of her trance.

"What is it May?"

"Emelia." Is all she says before she blinks. Her vision fading from blurry to clear. "Emelia is the driver."
