On the beach of the Dark Island, you and Dr. Julien were crouched beside Lloyd, who was sitting with his legs extended and leaning back on his arms. Dr. Julien was bandaging Lloyd's injured leg carefully, while you waited to use your powers.

"There," Dr. Julien stepped back, motioning for you to use your elemental powers. You sat kneeling beside Lloyd's right leg. You hovered your hand over his thigh, palm facing his leg, and the silver shine in your eyes flickering. You were still very tired from fighting, unable to take any naps.

You moved your hand up and down his leg. The bone was fixing, and his skin was luckily not punctured by his bones. You guessed he had a sprained or twisted ankle, along with a few fractures in his foot.

Lloyd quickly put his hood and mask on, then laid flat on his back, staring at the sky. He shifted a little while you used your powers. You didn't know if it hurt, since your healing powers were supposed to be sensationless to the human body.

The first stab of a headache watered your eyes, and you stopped immediately, letting your hand fall onto Lloyd's thigh. He jolted and sat up, taking his mask and hood off.

"Sorry." You took your hand off his leg, rubbing your temple with your other hand. No more power using, please.

"I-it's okay," Lloyd muttered. Was he blushing and flustered or just flushed from the pain in his leg? You were also feeling delirious, so you couldn't trust your own tired eyes. Lloyd was examining his leg. "Can I still fight?"

"Hmm, no. That leg will still need another week of healing. I reduced it from several weeks to just one," you replied, watching him gingerly move his leg.

Lloyd tried to stand up with Dr. Julien's help, but he winced and fell back on his rear. "We don't have a week, much less several."

You nodded to Dr. Julien, then walked over to where Wu, Misako, and the other ninja were on the edge of the water. The ninja were sitting, watching where Ninjago City was cloud with darkness and smoke. You sat down beside Kai, with no one on your right side.

Wu spoke after a heartbeat. "The battle between good and evil will be decided today."

Kai jumped up to his feet, gesturing furiously to the horizon. "And we can't even get to the fight, much less get off this island." He threw a small rock several meters over the ocean from the beach, frustrated.

You observed as the Endless Sea's waves climbed up the beach, touching Kai's toes. He shot back from the water's touch and landed in your lap.

"Geez. Calm down, flamebrain," you said lightly, moving him to sit back on your left side.

"That's just your way of calling me hot-headed."

"Yeah."

Jay sighed, slumping. His voice was dull. "Ah. I wonder if I'll ever see Nya again."

"Perhaps it's best to think of our friends as we remember them in our hearts, not as they are now." Zane comfortingly put his hand on Jay's back. Jay sighed again.

Lloyd limped over to where you were all gathered, his right arm wrapped around Dr. Julien's shoulders. "But I don't remember my father any other way."

"Your father loved you. It was the evil of the Great Devourer that corrupted him," Misako replied. Lloyd gazed at the ground.

Kai restlessly fidgeted beside you. "Sensei, I don't understand. The prophecy said the Green Ninja would defeat the Dark Lord. Why didn't we win?" He threw a rock onto the water, which bounced four times before tripping and sinking.
