welcome to SEASON 3: REBOOTED

Your POV

"Y/nnnnnnnnn. Y/nnnnnnnnnnnnn. Where should we land?" Lloyd's voice broke you out of your tired state. You lifted your chin off of his shoulder, looking around in the open sky.

From your spot behind him on the Golden Dragon, you couldn't see much of the city in front. "I don't know. Anywhere convenient."

"You always say that," Lloyd mumbled, but he complied. He flew the dragon down onto a tall skyscraper with a bunch of digital signs on it, landing it on the roof. Lloyd slid off to the ground, then helped you down. The Golden Dragon laid down on its stomach, feet comfortably curled up by its body. You and Lloyd sat down back against the dragon's flank. You leaned your head on his shoulder while he let out a long, heavy sigh. "You tired?"

"Yep," you responded, glancing up at the side of his face. He was staring straight at the horizon, occasionally at the city below. You noticed that he avoided direct eye contact whenever you two were alone, but you didn't mind. You were too tired to care. "We did too much socializing today."

"Oh, don't be like that."

You didn't say anything else. The Golden Dragon was blocking most of the high winds, creating a shield of body warmth between you and Lloyd. Even though the dragon was sort of translucent, it was perfectly solid. Another weird thing with the energy power.

You jolted up straight, not because Lloyd's hand was slowly sliding up your back around to your waist, but because you remembered you had promised to do something. "I'm supposed to visit the other ninja at the school today! I'm gonna forget if I don't go do it now."

"Aw. Alright. Tell them I say hi." Lloyd's arm shot back to his side, dismayed by your sudden departure. You stood by the edge of the building and walked off, before safely landed using a forcefield shield and a somersault to dissipate the momentum.

It was silent in the teachers' lounge room, except for the hum of the fridge in the corner of the room. You were sitting with your feet propped up on the table ("FEET OFF THE TABLE") and watching the clock hanging on the wall opposite of your position.

You weren't a teacher, since you usually hung out with Lloyd now as the Silver Ninja. The ninja took up jobs as teachers after buying Darkley's Boarding School and making it fit for themselves. You wanted to drop in to see how they were doing, leaving Lloyd to spend his time around New Ninjago City.

There were the sounds of many footsteps outside, with plenty of accompanying chatter. You checked the time again. 10:30.

With a sigh, you stood up and brushed your silver gi off. You left the break room to walk around the halls of Wu's Academy.

"Excuse me Y/n, do you know where I can find Mr. Kai's class? I've forgotten," a small voice said from behind you, following you as you strode.

You continued walking, allowing the student to follow. "Yeah, I can walk you there. I was gonna check in on him anyway."

You'd never be used to hearing any of the ninja be called 'mr'. To you, it was weird.

Down the hallway to the right, you stopped at a classroom with a closed door. You opened it slightly, letting light pool into the darkened room. The student thanked you before scurrying in. You could hear a projector playing something in the class.

"--jago City soon became New Ninjago City. And it became the center of great technological advancements. But without an enemy to fight, the age of the ninja came to an end."
