A Full Day in Y/n's Life With The Ninja (Extra Chpt)

A timeline trip down memory lane! This is just a chapter I wrote for fun and will be about a normal day of hanging out. It will take place in mid-season two, just after Lloyd was aged up but before all the Final Battle seriousness.
It is a casual day with no crazy fighting and will not directly follow an episode of Ninjago.

Your POV

"No, Jay, we can't stay there for the whole day."

That's what you and Kai told Jay every time he opened his mouth. He'd been nagging the two of you to stay and hang out by the beach after the Bounty was fixed up.

To add some more context, the short story is that Lloyd accidentally blew a hole into the Bounty during a training session on the water. He was extremely sorry, but none of you addressed his apologies because the ship was sinking fast. Zane had to use his falcon to get Ultra so they could push the Bounty to shore. The boosters were waterlogged and unavailable for use.

It was Saturday, 5:27 AM, about an hour after your guys' daily alarms sounded. The hotel room that the ninja bought for two nights had two twin beds and a foldable bed in the couch. With the six of you (you and the ninja), it should've been two people sleeping on each bed. Cole and Kai complained that the foldable couch bed wasn't comfortable, so they either had to sleep on the floor or squish in on the beds. The last night, you, Lloyd, and Kai shared one of the twin beds. That resulted in Kai falling off twice in a row at two A.M.

Lloyd was somewhere on his bed, reading a comic you had picked up for him at the comic bookstore. Cole was in the bathroom, but you had no idea what he had been doing in there for forty-five minutes. Maybe because Kai and Jay made dinner yesterday with two-week-old groceries.

"Y/n, can you tell Kai to stop cutting me off? I'm not going to bother him anymore," Jay promised, putting a hand on your shoulder. You glanced at him over your shoulder, watching him pout while you paused your task of organizing clean dishes.

"Zane, I need pest control," you called over the Ice Ninja, who was happily preparing breakfast. Jay removed himself from yours and Zane's range before the latter reacted, scurrying to Lloyd. Lloyd let Jay read the comic with him on the tiny bed.

"Hey~ you done?" Kai snuck up to you from behind, peeking over your shoulder. You were about the same height, unless the tips of Kai's hair counted. "We gotta go."

Zane answered for you to Kai's smooth tone. "Please wait, Kai. I'm almost finished. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, you know."

"Pfft, I don't need breakfast. I can handle anything with just dinner," Kai scoffed, waving dismissively. Zane handed him a plate of fresh sandwiches, which he took without hesitation. He picked one up and took a bite, then went over to Jay and Lloyd. "Hey, guys, want some?"

"Idiot," you muttered under your breath, smiling all the same.

"I heard that, Y/n."

You finished stacking the last few plates and bowls in the corner of the kitchen counter while Zane put the remainders of food in the small fridge by the other side of the kitchen. This hotel was quite small and stuffy. It would make a ballerina seem the clumsiest figure with all the knockable objects around the room.

"Whooo!" Cole finally left the bathroom, closing the door behind him. "We gonna go?"

"Eat first," Zane suggested him, gesturing to the waist-high round table with the plate of sandwiches. Kai already ate his, while Jay and Lloyd took a little while.

Cole sat down on his bottom bunk bed, taking a sandwich at the same time. "Gladly."

"Didn't you just go to the bathroom?" you asked, grinning at their casual but endearing actions.
