ASTORIA three years later
"You okay?" I asked Bianca and looked at the mirror. She was looking down at her hands. Her hair was straightened and pushed back.
The red dress was made of a beautiful satin material and fell down her figure elegantly. It was sleeveless and had a corset. She looked truly gorgeous.
But my sister was not happy.
Today was her engagement party. She was getting engaged to the eldest son of the Blackwood family, Luke. He just turned twenty-three and he seemed like a nice guy but he was not my sister's choice.
Bianca didn't say no but I knew she didn't want this marriage.
"Yeah. I'm good." She let out a sigh and stood up from the chair. She turned to me and smiled. A smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"I'll ask Theo if we can maybe do something..."
"Don't. I don't want you and him getting in any trouble for me." She placed her hand on my stomach and caressed it. "Also you are pregnant please don't stress yourself about me. Maybe I'll start to like him."
I placed my own hand over hers.
I was four months pregnant. My belly was already pretty big and Bianca joked that I was going to give birth to a baseball player.
Many things happened. I was pregnant with our first child. Kalin was finally in jail for doing illegal business and Theo and I successfully took over the company.
Now that I was pregnant I was taking more breaks but other than that, I was helping with everything that he needed.
"Okay but please tell me if something happens. You tell me immediately if he does something wrong." She nodded and dropped her hand to her side.
We hugged for the last time before we made our way to the door.
When I opened it, Hunter bowed his head in a greeting. He was back to his job as her bodyguard. As soon as dad arranged the engagement, he wanted someone to be with her all the time. Again not trusting her with anything.
Bianca didn't look at him at all but rather turned her head to the side.
We began to walk outside where the party was being held. The guests were already here. Bianca just wanted a little bit of a break and we went to her room.
Hunter's foot stepped echoed behind us.
When we got outside, I made my way towards Theo who was having a conversation with one of the men.
He sensed that I was approaching him and turned to me.
'Everything okay?' He gestured.
'Yes.' I gestured back.
Theo lost more than 90% of his hearing and now depended on sigh language. It was a hard process but he was handling everything well.
I sat next to him and felt his hand go to my stomach. Whenever I was close to him or when we were sleeping, Theo had to have his palm over my heart and now over my belly.
It made him feel at ease being able to feel my heartbeat or our baby's kicks.
I watched as Bianca went close to Luke. She stood next to him while he carefully wrapped his hand around her waist. She seemed uncomfortable but didn't act on it.
Hunted stood on the side, his eyes trained on Bianca.
She didn't want to talk to me about him but I was still able to notice her wandering eyes looking for him whenever he was there to guard her.
I knew she still liked him. She was only too stubborn to admit it.
My heart broke for her.
My father began to speak and everyone's attention turned to him. Then Luke'w father and it was time for everyone to make a toast for the newly engaged couple.
Bianca forcefully smiled and her gaze quickly went to Hunter for the quickest second.
I leaned close to Theo and rested my head on his shoulder.
