ASTORIA
I never knew that I could experience this much happiness in my life.
As I held Theo's hand, I grinned from ear to ear and turned my head to the window. The car was moving through the busy traffic and the city lights sparked and illuminated the night.
I tightened my fingers around his palm and so did he.
Today when I arrived from work, Theo immediately told me to get ready for dinner. He didn't tell me any other information other than the dress code.
He said that I should wear an elegant dress.
With a crazy beating heart and the biggest smile on my face, I got ready. I straightened my hair and did my make up with beige colours.
For the outfit, I chose a beautiful navy blue satin dress. It reached down to my ankles and had asymmetric strap.
It was soft and flowed around my legs with each move while lining my curves perfectly.
Relaxing melodies filled the car and I sat quietly, waiting to see where we'll arrive. Theo didn't said anything else. He just said that we were going for a dinner.
After a while, I leaned my head on Theo's shoulder and wrapped my hands around his forearm.
The car was soon parked in front of a building. More like a skyscraper. It was made of glass and had big letters above the entrance. Cappell.
"Is this your family's building?" I asked and opened the door of the car.
"My building." Theo answered. Oh...
I've never seen this building before. Or maybe I have but never really paid too much attention to the name. I use to go to dinners with my parents and Bianca a lot but we have never been here.
Dad usually took us to his restaurants. The families tend to stay away from each other if there is no business in between them, or marriage of the kids.
Hector brought him the wheelchair from the trunk. When Theo was ready, I stood next to him.
"This is really beautiful, Theo." I said in awe as I looked up. I tightened my hold on the bag.
"You really like it?"
"Of course I do." We began to make our way to the entrance. The man at the front immediately greeted us with respect. He seemed like a nice guy. His blond hair was cut short and he had a suit that had a logo with a C on it.
"Nice to meet you Mrs. Cappell." He extended his arm. Our palms connected and we shook hands.
"Nice to meet you as well." I smiled back.
He gestured with his hand and we began to follow after him. He pressed the button at the elevator and the doors opened.
Only me and Theo went in.
