TW: PANIC ATTACK MENTION
"Oh oh!" Taylor showed Aiden and he began laughing as well. They both began sprinting down the hallway yelling.
"Where are you going?" I shouted to them, lifting my head to look at the two.
"We're gonna show Ashlyn this!" Taylor yelled.
I watched Aiden try to jump and touch the top of the door frame to the gym, instead falling flat on his back and rolling over into a ball laughing while crying.
Logan knelt down beside me. As he reached for something I caught sight of his nails. They were in a pattern of teal and purple.
"Painted your nails?" I asked, looking back down to start putting stuff back in my locker.
He smiles a little wider at that, having already been smiling before hand. But there's a hint of sadness in his eyes, and I might've been hallucinating but for a second it looked like his smile dropped.
He nods and looks down at his nails. "Teal and purple, for September."
I don't really know what teal and purple has to do with September, but I smile and glance at his nails again before continuing to put stuff back in my locker.
He seems to understand that I didn't know what he meant. "You don't know why, do you?"
I hide my face a bit but nod sheepishly.
"September is Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month." He explains. I stop putting the stuff away to listen.
I don't really know what to say. "...Do you know someone who's..." I drift my words off and go back to looking down at the floor.
He almost nods, but stops himself. He quickly begins putting stuff back in my locker again, looking away and dodging my eyes.
"I'm not sure if I really know him anymore. He...He's just changed a bit."
