We heard them before we saw them - a rustling in the underbrush, a snapping of twigs. Tyler and I exchanged a wary glance. Suddenly, shadowy creatures emerged from the darkness, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly light.

They circled us, their movements fluid and menacing. Tyler stood tall, his eyes flashing with defiance. "We won't back down," he growled.

The creatures attacked, their shadows swirling around us like dark tentacles. Tyler and I fought back, our movements synchronized as we battled the shadow creatures.

But there were too many of them. We stumbled back, overwhelmed by the sheer number of attackers. I tripped, falling hard to the ground.

As I looked up, I saw Tyler surrounded, his eyes blazing with determination. I knew I had to act fast.

With a surge of adrenaline, I launched myself at the creatures, my fists flying. I hit one, then another, but there were too many.

Just when all seemed lost, a figure emerged from the trees - Arachne, her eyes blazing with fury. She summoned a web of silver threads, ensnaring the shadow creatures.

"Get out of here!" she shouted to us. "Now!"

We didn't need to be told twice. We ran, the shadow creatures snapping at our heels. We didn't stop until we reached the safety of a nearby cave.

Breathless and shaken, we turned to Arachne. "Thanks for saving us," Tyler said, his voice sincere.

Arachne nodded, her eyes still blazing with fury. "We're not out of this yet," she said. "Azazel has more tricks up his sleeve."

I nodded, my heart still racing. We knew what we had to do. We had to defeat Azazel, no matter what it took.
