Chapter24:The New Threat

We turned to face the figure, our senses on high alert. As the person stepped forward, we saw that it was a woman with piercing green eyes and long, flowing hair.

"Who are you?" Arachne demanded, her hand on the hilt of her sword.

The woman smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "My name is Eriol," she said. "And I have been sent to deliver a message."

Tyler and I exchanged a wary glance. "What kind of message?" I asked.

Eriol's smile grew wider. "A message of warning," she said. "A new threat is rising, one that will dwarf the darkness we have just defeated."

Arachne's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?"

Eriol's expression turned serious. "A powerful sorcerer has emerged, one who seeks to conquer and destroy all in his path. His name is Malakar, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goals."

We stood there, frozen in shock, as the reality of our situation sank in. We had just defeated one enemy, only to face an even greater threat.

"What can we do?" Tyler asked, his voice laced with determination.

Eriol's smile returned. "I have been sent to offer my aid," she said. "Together, we can defeat Malakar and save the world from his evil plans."

We exchanged a glance, our minds racing with possibilities. We knew that this wouldn't be easy, but we were determined to see it through.
