I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease after the encounter with the demon. Tyler's words kept echoing in my mind - "You don't know what you're dealing with." What did he mean?

I knew I had to confront him, to demand answers. I went to school the next day, determined to find out the truth.

I found Tyler in the cafeteria, sitting alone at a table. I approached him, my heart pounding in my chest.

"Tyler, we need to talk," I said, trying to keep my voice steady.

He looked up at me, his eyes guarded. "What is it, Sophia?"

"I saw the demon," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I saw you push it away. What's going on?"

Tyler sighed, rubbing his temples. "I knew this would happen," he muttered.

"Knew what would happen?" I demanded.

Tyler looked up at me, his eyes serious. "I'm not who you think I am," he said. "My family...we're not human."

I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. "What do you mean?" I stammered.

Tyler took a deep breath. "We're demons," he said. "Or at least, we're half-demons. Our family has been bound to the demon world for generations."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Demons? Half-demons? It sounded like something out of a fantasy novel.

But Tyler's expression was dead serious. "We've been trying to keep it a secret," he said. "But the demon I pushed away...he's been trying to expose us."

I felt like my world was spinning out of control. Demons, half-demons, secret worlds...it was too much to take in.

But one thing was certain - I had to know more.
