Jungkook rubbed Yoongi's back as he sat up and wiped his eyes.

"I'm sorry for that." Yoongi whispered.

Jungkook shook his head before he cupped Yoongi's dumpling like cheeks and made him look up at him. "Hyung, it's okay. Stop apologizing... you did nothing wrong, you didn't make me uncomfortable. I understand.... Bottling up your feelings... going through one of the hardest times of your life... alone... and I'm sure every time your phone goes off you're scared it's about him. I get it, I get the surface level stuff, but if you ever want to talk about it, I'm all ears." Jungkook said.

Yoongi blushed and teared up before he nodded as best as he could with how Jungkook had his cheeks. They stayed like that for a moment, Yoongi blushing more as he noticed how Jungkook's eyes moved down to his lips, a longing look in his eyes at he stared at them for what felt like forever before he started to lean down, hesitantly.

Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows as Jungkook stopped moving like he was really contemplating what he was doing before he started to lean down again.

Yoongi gently pushed Jungkook back. His heart was pounding in his chest, his breathing elevated as he stared at the younger. "What are you doing?" Yoongi asked.

Jungkook crimsoned. "W-what? I just got... caught up in the moment. It wasn't anything serious..." Jungkook mumbled as he distanced himself from Yoongi.

"Okay... I'm sorry-"

Jungkook sighed. "Stop apologizing... thank you for doing that... it probably would have just complicated things between us." Jungkook said.

"Yeah... plus I'm sick you dummy..." Yoongi said, smiling as the corner of Jungkook's mouth twitched upwards.

"True... ew I can't believe I almost kissed you while you have cooties." Jungkook said as he playfully shivered his whole body, Yoongi laughed and pushed him. Jungkook smiled and laughed as he sat back up.

"So... we're good?" Jungkook asked.

Yoongi nodded. "Already forgotten." He said as he watched Jungkook who looked conflicted about his answer but quickly shook the feeling off his face.

"Let's go get some food." Jungkook said as he stood up.

Yoongi followed him out of his room and down to the mudroom then the garage.

Yoongi blushed after he had put his seatbelt on and looked over at Jungkook who was staring at him. "Kookie... you good?" Yoongi asked.

Jungkook blushed and nodded as he looked away. "Where do you want to eat? I'm kind of in the mood for dumplings... not gonna lie." He said as he gently pinched Yoongi's cheek.

Yoongi rolled his eyes and smiled. "That's fine." He said as he looked over at the younger. Jungkook smiled back at him as he gently rubbed his thumb over where he had pinched before he started the car and focused on driving.

As they drove through the quiet streets, an air of unspoken tension hung between them, a delicate thread woven from their earlier moment. Yoongi glanced out the window, watching the streetlights blur into streaks of orange and yellow. He could feel Jungkook's eyes on him, the warmth of his gaze making his cheeks flush again. The silence was comfortable, but an underlying current of something more profound thrummed beneath it.

"Hyung," Jungkook broke the quiet, his voice soft yet firm. "You know you can talk to me about anything, right?"

Yoongi turned his gaze back to Jungkook, who was focused on the road, his fingers drumming against the steering wheel. He could see the sincerity in Jungkook's expression, the way his brows furrowed slightly as if he was carrying a weight bigger than himself.
