The drive felt surreal. The world outside was vibrant, life continuing on as though nothing had changed, but inside the car, an invisible weight lingered. Jungkook discreetly glanced at Yoongi, his heart aching for the pain he could see etched in his features.
"Hyung," Jungkook said gently, breaking the silence. "You're not alone in this, okay? I'm here for you, no matter what."
Yoongi turned to him, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I don't know how to deal with this, Jungkook. It feels like everything is falling apart."
"It's okay to feel like that," Jungkook replied, reaching over to squeeze Yoongi's hand reassuringly. "Just take it one day at a time. You don't have to have all the answers right now."
As they arrived at a cozy little restaurant, the aroma of food wafting through the air, Jungkook stepped out and opened the door for Yoongi. They walked in together, the familiar clatter of dishes and chatter of patrons enveloping them in a warm embrace.
Jungkook ordered for both of them, refusing to let Yoongi decline. As they waited for their food, Jungkook tried to lighten the mood, sharing stories that made Yoongi chuckle despite himself.
But as the food arrived, Yoongi hesitated, staring at the plate in front of him. Jungkook watched him, concern creeping back in.
"Hyung, please," Jungkook urged softly, nudging the plate closer. "Just take a bite for me. I know it's hard, but you need to eat."
With a deep breath, Yoongi picked up his chopsticks, his movements slow and deliberate. He took a small bite, and to his surprise, the taste was comforting. It finally felt like a step toward normalcy, a brief reprieve from the heaviness that had settled over him.
Jungkook watched closely, relief washing over him as Yoongi took another bite. "See? Not so bad, right?" he said with a gentle smile, hoping to coax more of that familiar spark back into Yoongi's eyes.
Yoongi managed a small nod, the tension in his shoulders easing just a fraction. "It's not terrible," he replied, his voice laced with sarcasm, but Jungkook could hear the hint of gratitude beneath it.
As they continued to eat, Jungkook shared more stories—an embarrassing moment from practice, a funny encounter with their friends—that made Yoongi chuckle softly. With each laugh, Jungkook felt a piece of the weight on Yoongi's heart lift, and he silently vowed to do whatever it took to help him heal.
After finishing their meal, they lingered at the table for a while longer, the sunlight filtering through the window, casting a warm glow on their faces. Jungkook reached across the table, his hand resting over Yoongi's. "Remember, you're not alone in this. I'm right here," he reassured him, locking eyes with him.
Yoongi looked down at their hands, feeling the warmth of Jungkook's reassurance seep into him. For the first time that day, he felt a flicker of hope, a reminder that even in the darkest times, there was still light to be found.
"Thank you, Jungkook," he said softly, his voice steadying. "For everything."
As they left the diner and headed back to the car, Yoongi felt a little lighter. Maybe today wouldn't erase the pain, but it was a start—a step toward healing, embraced by the unwavering support of someone who cared deeply. And in that moment, walking side by side with Jungkook, he knew he could face whatever came next.

The next day, as much as he didn't want to, Jungkook went to school. He sighed softly as he walked down the hallway towards Yoongi's locker where he saw Hoseok.
"Hey hyung." He said as he walked up to him.
Hoseok looked over at him and gave him a small smile. "Hey... how is he?"
