The weekend arrived, and the weight of the week hung heavily on Yoongi's shoulders. After his encounter with Mr. Ji, he felt a mix of guilt and confusion. He had been trying to gather evidence, but every time he thought about it, the emotional toll became overwhelming. He needed to push through, to regain control, and to confront the reality of his situation.

As he stepped into Jungkook's party, the music pulsed through the air, a stark contrast to the chaos swirling in his mind. The laughter and chatter of familiar voices surrounded him, but Yoongi felt like an outsider looking in. He spotted the drink table and made his way over, hoping to find some solace in a cup of something strong.

"Yoongi!" A voice called out, breaking through his thoughts. He turned to see Taehyung bounding toward him, his grin infectious. "I didn't think you'd come! It's been a while since I've seen you!"

"Yeah, well... I figured I'd show up," Yoongi replied, forcing a smile. "How've you been?"

"Busy with school and everything, you know? But it's great to see you! You should hang out with us more," Taehyung said, his enthusiasm unwavering.

Yoongi nodded, though a part of him felt distant. "I'll try," he said, taking a sip of his drink. The alcohol burned slightly but provided a welcome distraction.

"Are you okay, though?" Taehyung asked, concern creeping into his voice. "You seem... different."

Yoongi hesitated, unsure of how to respond. "Just a lot on my mind," he finally said, his eyes drifting away.

"Well, if you need to talk, I'm here for you," Taehyung said earnestly, resting a hand on Yoongi's shoulder. "You're still my friend, no matter what's going on."

"Thanks, Taehyung," Yoongi replied, grateful for his friend's support, even if he didn't feel deserving of it.

As they chatted, Yoongi's gaze wandered through the crowd, searching for Jungkook. He spotted him across the room, laughing with Jimin and a few other friends. Jungkook looked radiant, his smile bright, and for a moment, Yoongi felt a pang of longing.

But that feeling was quickly overshadowed by the memories of their last encounter, the way Jungkook had looked at him—hurt and confused. Yoongi had driven a wedge between them, and the thought of it made his heart ache.

"Hey, I'll be right back," he said to Taehyung, needing a moment to gather his thoughts. He made his way through the throng of people, feeling out of place as he approached the group where Jungkook stood.

"Yoongi!" Jungkook exclaimed when he saw him. His expression shifted, a mix of surprise and something else—was it relief? "I'm glad you came."

"Yeah, I... I didn't want to miss it," Yoongi said, his voice barely above the music. He could feel the tension between them, the unspoken words hanging in the air.

"Are you having fun?" Jungkook asked, his tone light, but Yoongi could sense the underlying worry.

"Trying to," Yoongi replied, forcing a smile. "How about you? Looks like you're enjoying yourself."

"Yeah, it's been good. Jimin's been keeping me entertained," Jungkook said, glancing over at Jimin, who had pulled a group of friends into a dance.

"Good," Yoongi said, but his heart sank at the sight. Jimin's possessive hold on Jungkook made him feel small, like he was intruding on something he no longer belonged to.

"Are you okay?" Jungkook asked, concern etched in his features. "You seem... off."

Yoongi opened his mouth to respond, but the words caught in his throat. Instead, he shook his head, unsure of how to articulate the whirlwind of emotions inside him. "I'm just... trying to figure things out."
