In Tokyo,

Monday arrived, and Kuroo walked into his school like any other day. The usual morning rhythm carried on as expected, but something felt different—subtle but noticeable. As classes went by, Kuroo couldn't shake off a sense of anticipation building inside him. It wasn't until practice that he began to understand why.

Walking into the gym, Kuroo assumed his role as captain, giving instructions and motivating his team. However, throughout practice, he noticed his teammates snickering every time they looked his way. It was odd, but he tried to ignore it. They were probably just in a good mood, he reasoned. But then, during a break, Kenma approached him.

"Hey, Kuroo," Kenma started, his tone uncharacteristically teasing, "How was your trip to Miyagi?"

Kuroo froze, feeling his face heat up as if he'd just been caught red-handed. He remembered telling Kenma about his plan to visit Y/N over the weekend, but he didn't expect this question so suddenly. Before he could even respond, the rest of the team gathered around, intrigued.

"Oh? Captain had a little weekend getaway?" one of the teammates asked, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.

"Did you go see Y/N?" another chimed in, eyes wide with curiosity.

Kuroo found himself flustered, a rare occurrence for someone usually so composed. The teasing smiles and prodding questions continued until, in a moment of exasperation, Kuroo sighed and admitted, "Fine, I'll tell you guys. Yes, I have a crush on Y/N. But I'm trying to take things slow, one step at a time."

His teammates exchanged looks, surprised by his honesty, but then quickly broke into supportive grins. They patted his shoulder, offering words of encouragement.

"Don't worry, Kuroo, we've got your back."

"Yeah, just be yourself. She'll fall for you in no time."

Kuroo felt a wave of relief wash over him. It wasn't easy to admit, but now that he had, it felt like a weight had been lifted. With a determined nod, he refocused on practice, but his thoughts occasionally drifted to Y/N.

Meanwhile in Miyagi,

Y/N was busy with her duties as the team manager, efficiently organizing everything that needed to be done. Occasionally, she joined the boys for practice, showcasing her skills and earning the respect of the team. During one of the breaks, Hinata, ever curious, approached her.

"Y/N!" he called out, bouncing up to her with his usual energy. "How was your weekend?"

Y/N raised an eyebrow, sensing the attention of the entire gym shift towards her. Hinata's question had caught everyone's interest, including the coach's. She could feel their eyes on her, waiting for an answer. For a moment, the gym fell silent.

Y/N took a deep breath and, with her usual composed demeanor, replied, "Kuroo came to visit me. We spent the day hanging out, and he ended up staying the night because it got late."

The room erupted in surprised murmurs, with the team immediately bursting into teasing comments.

"Ooooh, Y/N had a visitor!" Tanaka grinned.

"Did Kuroo sleep on the couch or what?" Nishinoya added, wiggling his eyebrows.

Despite the barrage of comments, Y/N remained unaffected, her neutral expression giving nothing away. But as practice resumed, Shimizu quietly approached her, standing by her side.

In an unusual move, Y/N broke the silence between them. "I like Kuroo," she admitted, her voice steady, but her eyes reflected the turmoil within. "But... I'm still haunted by the past."

Shimizu listened carefully, her expression softening as she offered a reassuring smile. "Take your time, Y/N. Don't rush yourself. It's okay to be careful, but don't let your past hold you back from your future."

Y/N nodded, appreciating Shimizu's words. Though her face remained neutral, a small part of her felt lighter after confiding in Shimizu. As they both turned back to watch the team practice, Y/N allowed herself a moment of introspection, realizing that perhaps, just maybe, she was ready to take that first step forward.
