"Second Brother! It's broken! The wooden box suddenly broke!"

Lei Xiao sprang up from the bed, his dark eyes locked on Yao Ziqing, observing his every move and not missing any change. He didn't even notice his own hands were trembling slightly but was trying to calm Yao Ziqing, who was clearly panicked. "Don't be afraid. Whatever was inside the box, just take it out."

Yao Ziqing looked like he was about to cry but had no tears. "I don't know what it was. It vanished in an instant. I don't know where it went. Second Brother, what if I've lost the precious treasure left by our ancestors?"

That was a glimmer of hope. If something happened in the future, it might even save a life. The fact that it disappeared from his space without a trace was incredibly frustrating.

Seeing that Yao Ziqing was calm, Lei Xiao's heart relaxed a bit. He patted his back gently. "It's okay. It's still in your space. The whole space belongs to you. Take your time and search for it. Do you feel anything unusual or uncomfortable?"

Yao Ziqing sensed himself and shook his head. "I don't feel anything. There's no change; the space is still the same."

"Mountain Valley Space?"

Yao Ziqing nodded. Lei Xiao didn't say anything further. After observing Yao Ziqing for a while and confirming there was no visible issue, he lay back down on the bed, though his hand stayed on Yao Ziqing's back.

Noticing Si'er was still frowning, probably using his mental power to search the space, Lei Xiao pulled him down onto the bed. "Go to sleep. You need to be well-rested to handle emergencies."

Yao Ziqing thought he would worry all night about losing the ancestor's treasure and wouldn't be able to sleep, but he fell asleep quickly.

Lei Xiao watched him sleep, his brow furrowing deeper and deeper.

Since Si'er started absorbing elemental energy, he had been continuously absorbing it even while asleep. Although Lei Xiao couldn't extract energy from the surroundings like Si'er, he felt very comfortable when Si'er absorbed it. But now he couldn't feel that comfort; it was clear that Si'er was sleeping so soundly that even the energy absorption had stopped.

That night, Yao Ziqing slept very soundly. Early in the morning, he woke up naturally in his second brother's arms and stretched luxuriously.

"Good morning, Second Brother! I slept so well. It feels like all the sleep I had before was nothing compared to last night. It's like someone who hadn't slept for hundreds of years suddenly got a full night's rest. I feel so refreshed!"

Lei Xiao just looked at him silently, making Yao Ziqing a bit puzzled. "What's wrong?"

"You're very dirty."

"!"

Being told he was dirty first thing in the morning was quite a shock! Yao Ziqing thought it was because he hadn't brushed his teeth yet and quickly moved away from his second brother.

Lei Xiao pulled him back. "Go take a shower."

Yao Ziqing glanced down at himself and saw he was covered in grime. He was indeed quite dirty. He twitched his mouth and asked, "Second Brother, what did you do to me last night? Or did I sleepwalk? I was clean before going to bed!"

Lei Xiao calmly replied, "Go take a shower."

So, Yao Ziqing went to take a shower quietly.

After Yao Ziqing finished, Lei Xiao, who had been waiting for him, gave him a thorough look and finally relaxed. There was no dramatic change overnight; it was almost as if nothing had changed, which was less conspicuous.
