Their hometown is Lei Village, Wan'an Town, Rongxi City, Northchuan Province. Almost all the villagers have some sort of familial connection.

As more and more young people from the village choose to work outside, only a few remain to help with farm work.

Yao Ziqing's family only has one elderly person left. Given her age, it's impossible for Grandma to work in the fields.
