Sorry this took so long to come out. I wanted to make it extra good and detailed 😼.
The night was thick with the summer heat, the air warm and heavy as Genya and Muichiro walked side by side down the dimly lit street. The city was quiet, save for the occasional chirp of crickets and the distant hum of traffic. Above them, the sky stretched inky and vast, dotted with stars that flickered like distant memories. It was late—too late, probably—but neither of them cared. They were lost in the moment, in the laughter they shared, in the easy rhythm of their steps.
“Remember that time you tripped over nothing?” Genya teased, giving Muichiro a playful nudge. His grin was wide, mischievous, his eyes sparkling with a light that matched the stars above.
Muichiro chuckled, his voice calm. “You’re never gonna let me live that down, are you?” He nudged Genya back, their shoulders brushing, sending a small thrill through his body. It was innocent, the way they touched, but every brush of their arms, every shared glance, felt like something more—something that made Muichiro’s heart race just a little faster.
“Never,” Genya replied, his voice teasing but warm. “It was too good. You just went down like—” He mimed an exaggerated fall, nearly stumbling in the process, and Muichiro couldn’t help but burst into laughter, the sound echoing through the empty streets.
They continued like this, bantering back and forth, nudging and shoving each other as they walked. The darkness deepened around them, the shadows growing long and the streetlights casting a golden hue over everything. There was something surreal about the night, something that made the world feel softer, more intimate. Or maybe it was just the way Genya looked at him, his eyes lingering a little too long, his smile a little too sweet.
As they turned a corner, a flash of red and blue caught their attention. A police car, idling at the end of the street, its lights dimmed but unmistakable. Genya’s grin faded, replaced by a look of sudden alertness.
“Crap,” he muttered, glancing at Muichiro with a mix of urgency and amusement. “We’re out past curfew.”
Muichiro’s eyes widened, but before he could react, Genya grabbed his wrist, pulling him along as they broke into a run. The thrill of it all—the sudden rush, the feel of Genya’s hand warm around his wrist—sent a surge of adrenaline through Muichiro’s veins. He couldn’t help but laugh as they darted down an alleyway, their footsteps echoing off the brick walls.
The alley was narrow, the walls pressing in on either side, but it provided the cover they needed. They ducked into the shadows, panting and giggling like kids who’d just gotten away with something. In the dim light, Genya’s face was flushed, a grin tugging at the corners of his lips. He was still holding Muichiro’s wrist, his grip firm but gentle.
“We’re safe here,” Genya whispered, his voice hushed but tinged with excitement. He pressed Muichiro back against the wall, not even realizing how close they were, how the space between them had all but vanished.
Muichiro’s breath caught in his throat as he found himself pinned against the cool brick, Genya’s body hovering just inches from his own. He could feel the heat radiating off Genya, could see the way his toned chest heaved with each breath, the muscles defined beneath the thin fabric of his compressed tank. The way Genya’s pecs strained against the material, the way they seemed to beckon, made Muichiro’s heart pound in his chest, made something flutter deep in his stomach.
Genya was looking over his shoulder, his focus on the street beyond the alley, but Muichiro’s eyes were locked on him, on the way his dark mohawk fell back against his neck, on the sharp lines of his jaw, on the way his chest rose and fell, so close that Muichiro could feel each breath.
