Sat alone on his throne in the car park Brennan Lee Mulligan let out a sigh. Being the leader of the Intrepid Heroes, he had to make sure he showed no weakness so that the other members of the gang remained afraid of him. It made the mind control much more effective.

"What's wrong Brennan?" Came a voice from the darkness, filled with fake sympathy.
"It's nothing Lord Brendon."
"Are you sure? Is Cardinal Clairmont's death bothering you? I can always replace you if it's too much... I'm sure the Welsh Dragon is still hungry."
"No!" said Brennan, "I feel nothing! He was weak! He deserved it!"
"Hmm... you know... if King Philippe is killing traitors he must be worried about potential threats... perhaps it's time for this weak king to be... replaced." said Brendon Urie, walking into the dim light and standing in front of Brennan's throne so that he looked down on the ginger man.
"You're suggesting we... kill the king?" asked Brennan, shocked at Brendon's dramatic statement.
"After everything he's done to you don't you want to? Doesn't he deserve it?" Brendon encouraged, making every terrible memory from his childhood rush back into Brennan's head... maybe everything would be better without the king... maybe then he could see his sister...

"Well?" prompted Brendon.
"I'll do it!" said Brennan.
"Excellent," said Brendon, "And I already have a plan to make you the King you deserve to be, and to kill that old relic!"
