Arden's POV-
Arden woke up from his nap to the rustling of a cloak and hurried footsteps. Opening his eyes slowly, he was greeted with Alec's gentle but concerned face.
The older boy smiled.
"I was just about to wake you."
Arden sat up, rubbing his eyes sleepily.
"Brother? Has something happened?"
Alec sighed.
"It seems like Arjen has fallen ill. Father has requested for me to be there. Do you...want to come along?"
Arden nodded, and Alec quickly called a maid to help him get dressed.
After a moment, Arden emerged with yet another cardigan, along with a pair of shorts. Despite only taking a few minutes, his hair was neat and his clothes were not wrinkled at all, showing that the maids were experienced.
Alec quickly picked up the small boy and ran out the door, hurrying toward the emperor's room. Once there, he quickly set Arden down and greeted his father.
"Father. How is Arjen?"
"He threw up, so the maids are giving him a warm bath. He should be out soon", the emperor replied.
Then, he looked down at the small boy holding onto Alec's pant leg.
"This is Arden?"
Alec nodded.
"He looks healthier than before. You did an excellent job, Alexander."
Shortly after, Arjen returned. He was dressed in clean clothes and looked much better than before.
Alec hurried over to examine the boy, with the emperor standing right beside him. When he was done, Alec let out a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness. It looks like today's incident was only stress-induced. I was worried that woman's abuse had lasting damage on their physical health, but it looks like that is not the case."
He turned to his father.
"He'll be fine."
Then, he picked up Arden and left.

I know Alec never appeared when this happened in the actual manhwa, but I didn't want to skip Arden's part again... This was the only thing I could come up with. Regardless, I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
