I totally forgot to put the pictures of their rooms last chapter so here they are

Korn's room

Knock's room

Korn walked into the great hall and was surprised to find Win there. His father was there in his chair looking annoyed, which immediately made Korn think that shit was about to go down.

"Sorry to interrupt your time with your mate and your friends but he said it was urgent." Kris said.

"It's fine" he said. "Win, what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to talk to you in private." He said. Kris looked at his son who just nodded.

"I'll be in my study if you need me." He said before he left.

"What did you want to talk about?" Korn asked.

"I wanted to ask you if there is any way that you could reconcile with Tharn and go back to the way things were before."

"When you talk about the way things were do you mean when I blindly followed a man who didn't give a damn about me or my people?" He asked.

"Korn, he was just trying to pacify the situation and help the other species grow."

"Pacify the situation for whom?" He asked. "From where I am standing he is only trying to keep the peace with the nobles. He didn't once think about how it affected my people. What he has done has left families homeless. Women and children were forced to flee for their lives while their husbands were helpless to do anything."

"He was just trying to help."

"Then he should have come to my father and asked if he could give some uninhabited land to them for a price or maybe trade it for something. He didn't do that. He instead stole land that wasn't his."

"When the hell did you start caring about your people?" He asked. "You have always been loyal to the crown. To this family. To the King."

"That was the problem." He said. "I was so loyal to him that I was blinded to my people's problems. For once in my life I'm putting my people first and focusing on fixing the problems they are having."
