He could feel his presence the moment he walked into the room. His presence both calmed him and brought up the hurt from the morning he left. He knew Knock wasn't trying to be a dick and that it was just his humor, but words can hurt. His feelings for him have become like a fire to him. Out of control. He wasn't going to be able to pretend to just want to be friends with him. He wanted everything with Knock. His soul, his heart and his body. He wanted to spend hours tracing his tongue over every inch of his skin, learning what makes him lose his mind.
He didn't let his thoughts go from there. He needed to stay focused on what he was here for. To force Tharn to remove the Yetis, Griffins and Unicorns from his land. He took his seat facing the crowd between Nine and Dean. His father and sister entered and he immediately felt the tension between his dad and Tharn who was standing by his throne chair next to Type and also between his sister and Tharn's sister, Athena.
The history between Athena and Kavitra was always messy. Even though they had a nearly decade age gap, they had a strong rivalry due to the rivalry between their parents. Korn skipped that rivalry but the two female cousins did not. They always had to be better than the other whether it was career-wise or in their personal lives. They couldn't stand each other back then and that dislike continues to this day.
His father and sister took their seat where the heads of the dragon clans were supposed to sit. Neither looked in Tharn's or Athena's direction. He was trying hard not to look at Knock. If he did then he would lose the anger and focus he needs to get through this meeting. Once everyone was seated the meeting began.
Two hours later, it was the part of the meeting where you could come to the king with your problems or requests. He forced down his fury as the head of the unicorns appeared on one of the TV screens. Unicorns don't have a human body so they also communicate by projecting their thoughts into someone's mind.
The head of the unicorns was a male named Sirius and he was the most infuriating creature he had ever met and that says a lot since he had met trolls and ogres and they were known to be unpleasant. He growled when the infuriating creature boldly asked for more land in front of him. Apparently the Griffins were not being fair with the land they both had been given.
"This has gone far enough!!" He said standing up. His rage knows no bounds now.
"Korn, sit down" Tharn said.
"No, you blatantly disrespect my people and on top of that you break a treaty that our ancestors signed with the first demon king that was to be forever binding. You give land that doesn't belong to you to those rich and entitled people and you expect my family to take it."
Outrage from three of the TVs went through the air but he didn't care.
"It is better to keep the peace than to protect centuries old treaty and I would think you would understand." Tharn said.
"You thought wrong. I am not asking but telling you, you will force out the invaders and never again take land that doesn't belong to you."
"How dare you talk to the king that way!!" Athena yelled fury on her face.
"Stay out of this, Athena!!" Kavitra yelled back.
"You should know your betters and keep your mouth shut." Athena said.
"You have never been in the same league as me and you never will be, you jealous hag." She said making Athena stand and move towards her. Kavitra pushed her father away after he tried to stop her from becoming physical with her and charged at Athena. Before anyone could stop them, her fist went flying as she hit her target making two bodies hit the floor. Kavitra was obviously way stronger than her as she gained the advantage and started beating the crap out of her.
