I smiled in relief when we finally reached the temple near Bhugat Gram.
I cut my thumb with my sword and filled Kirti's hairline. She closed her eyes as tears rolled down her cheeks and a smile appeared on her face.
"I am sorry for taking an action without consulting you. I truly regret it. But I had no time! I hope you will forgive me", I said softly to my wives and they nodded softly. Kirti looked at me nervously.
I blinked at her in assurance. My wives pulled Kirti in a hug and I smiled.
Thank God! They accepted her!
"What will do about the others?" Vrushali asked in worry.
"I told them Kirti desired to marry me. I trust the elders. They can be bad but not to the extent of forcing a girl. They will handle it. And Duryodhan is there to manage the drama", I chuckled.
"A-arya my parents?" Kirti asked in tears.
I wiped the precious pearls before they could fall and pulled her in a hug. "They will be safe", I said.
I nodded at her in assurance again and she finally smiled believing me.
We went to meet my parents.
Baba was upset seeing me abducting a girl and I expected it.
"Ow! Maa", I complained when baba pulled my ear. My wives were giggling seeing it.
"Arya", Maa came scolding and pulled me back. I chuckled sheepishly and hid behind her as baba glared at me.
"What is wrong with you Karn?" He asked finally in a disappointed tone.
My smile fell.
"Baba! He married me by my will. I didn't want to marry Arjun. I loved him. You can trust me on this. Your son didn't tell me to tell this to you, I am saying the truth. Your son is a gem", Kirti said smiling.
*Proudly raises my imaginary collars*
"And he married me and my sisters to save our honour. He didn't force us. He is so kind and understanding", Shilpa said. I was taken aback in surprise. A smile formed on my face seeing the sisters nodding with Shilpa.
They finally accepted me! I grinned.
Baba nodded in satisfaction and I sighed in relief. I was happy to see him finally happy with me.
Maa had made food for us. She knew I would be coming. Without even me informing her.
My eyes moistened. I love her!
Truly, a mother doesn't become a mother just by giving birth, motherhood involves nurturing as well and Radha Maa played that role for me
"Come", she said smiling and we settled down. My wives were visibly very happy interracting with my parents. I was grinning all the time seeing them.
Maa didn't let me eat on my own. She kept feeding me. Baba was telling my embarassing childhood stories and I was trying to hide my face from my wives who were giggling.
Many things were there, of which even I wasn't aware about. Because I am reincarnated and not real Karn. But I acted along and didn't let my parents catch my awkwardness.
Afterwards, we got ready to go. Maa and Baba were emotional. I hugged them and then we left.
During the whole journey, my wives rested like I insisted them too.
But my mind was focused on Dushala's teary face. The hold on the reins tightened thinking it.
She looked so broken! I didn't mean to do that but I did it still, unknowingly.
I had to talk with my two wives from Magadh because I didn't get chance at all and I couldn't delay more. I couldn't remarry again before talking with them.
But I had to hurry up in Dushala's matter too. I had to talk to Duryodhan today!
We reached the palace and received a cordial invite.
My concerned gaze went on Arjun who looked not at all sad. He looked happy. What was with him?
I used my power to check his mind.
I had this power from my reincarnation to prevent things just in case some idiots decide to test me.
*Coughs* Like Shalya in the battlefield *Coughs*
I was surprised to know Arjun was scared from this marriage because of his young age and didn't want it.
Aww! My shy little brother.
I chuckled and looked ahead. Everyone seemed to have accepted it because of Kirti who was the one whose opinion mattered here the most.
I looked at Kunti maa. She had the same bangles she gave me. She came forward and I took it from her. She smiled and watched as I made Kirti wear the bangles.
The two girls to whom I couldn't talk knew as well I was going to and had the bangles with me.
I could read their minds.
I looked at Kunti maa. She looked really happy.
'She's ready to shower all her love secretly and cry buckets for not having rights on me but she won't tell the truth to atleast me'
I shook my head. I had this matter too on my head.
We went inside.
I didn't see Dushala anywhere.
Leaving my wives with Mata Gandhari and Mata Kunti along with Yuyutsu's mother who wanted to interact with them, considering only I was married as of now, I left to meet Duryodhan.
I calmed my raising heartbeats. God! What will be his reaction?
Give me your sister in marriage. Fuck the bro code!
I groaned in frustration.
"Duryodhan", I said in a cold and stern tone that told how serious I was. I couldn't look nervous otherwise he might get angry. I have to be sure. I am asking for his sister after all!
"Yes mitr?" Duryodhan came towards me and smiled.
I was going to speak when I saw Dushala who had clearly cried coming behind him. He must be consoling her for whatever excuse she gave for her tears.
"If I want something, will you give it to me without any hesitation or second thoughts?" I asked seriously.
He looked at me frowning.
"That serious?" He asked. He smiled. "Ok what do you want, I will do anything for you", he said with friendly love.
I felt terribly guilty but I had to do it.
"What do you want mitr?" He repeated.
I stared at Dushala.
"Dushala", I said without any hesitation.
"WHAT?!"
