'I can only use One For All at either a hundred or zero percent. I can't control it yet...' Midoriya looked at his hand, which was trembling violently. His breath hitched as he struggled to keep his emotions in check, the weight of the situation pressing down on him like a ton of bricks. If he placed last on all eight tests, he would fail All Might, he would fail his mom, and most of all, he would fail himself.

All Might had trusted Midoriya with his quirk; he was supposed to be the next generation, the next symbol of peace. After all the training All Might had put him through, failing now would mean wasting everything.

"We're free to do what we want about the circumstances of our students. Including, expulsion." Aizawa lifted the hair off his face, staring at his students.

"Welcome to U.A's hero course."

Dream watched as Midoriya trembled beside him, beads of sweat trickling down the side of his forehead. It struck Dream as odd—how could someone who had done so well on the entrance exam be this nervous now? Most people were grinning at the opportunity to show off their quirks, especially Bakugou with that smug grin on his face.

"Last place will be expelled?!" Uraraka called out, a frantic look plastered on her face. "It's the first day of school—no, even if it wasn't the first day of school, this is too unfair!"

"Natural disasters, big accidents, and selfish villains," Aizawa stated, his voice firm and unwavering. "Calamities whose time or place can't be predicted. Japan is covered with unfairness." He paused, letting the weight of his words settle. "Heroes are the ones who reverse those situations. If you wanted to go talk with your friends at McDonald's after school, too bad. For the next three years, U.A. will do all it can to give you one hardship after another. Go beyond. Plus Ultra. Overcome it with all you got."

After that short speech, everyone seemed a little more determined. Dream thought it was a bit cringy but shrugged it off.

"Demonstrations over. The real test begins now."

Test 1: 50-Meter Dash

A small robot stood on the sidelines, presumably used to analyze each student's speed. "On your mark... Get set... Go!" the robot announced.

The students immediately dashed forward. Dream crossed the finish line first with a time of 2.37 seconds, followed by Iida at 3.04 seconds. Iida seemed to have engines on his legs, making him incredibly fast. A frog girl hopped over with a time of 5.58 seconds.

Uraraka began tapping her clothes and shoes. "Lighten up my clothes and shoes," she said before sprinting over in 7.15 seconds, just behind a guy with a long tail who clocked in at 5.49 seconds.

A blonde boy with a belt strapped around his waist giggled. "Everyone, you're not being creative enough. I'll show you what it's like to use your Quirk!" With that, he blasted off, a glowing blue beam shooting from the center of his belt. He stumbled and fell but quickly got back up.

"5.51 seconds!" the robot announced.

"If I shoot for more than a second, I get a stomachache!" the blonde boy declared proudly, earning a few strange looks from his peers.

Midoriya and Bakugou were the two last people, standing side by side. Then when the robot said so, they ran off. Bakugou used his explosion quirk, blasting off with 4.13 seconds. It gave Dream some nice memories of him and Tommy.

Midoriya then followed behind with 7.02 seconds, panting and catching his breath when he stopped.

"Everyone will use their quirks to produce extraordinary results," Midoriya thought. "On the other hand, I have this power that will break my body if I use it even once."

"Control... Control..." Midoriya desperately reminded himself. "Even if I can visualize it, actually using it is another story..."

Flashback:

"The trick to controlling it is feeling!" All Might said. "You've already tapped into 100%!"

"It destroyed me, though," Midoriya replied awkwardly.

"But now that you have, it'll be easy," All Might reassured him. "You should have grasped the feeling by now. What was it like?"

Midoriya paused to think. "I know! It felt like an egg in a microwave! Except it exploded..."

"That's boring but unique!" All Might exclaimed. "If that's the image you have, then lower the wattage or shorten the cook time. Anything's fine; just focus on the image of the egg not exploding."

End of Flashback

——————————

After all the tests, Dream performed remarkably well. Unfortunately for Midoriya, he didn't fare as well, except for the fifth test.

The fifth test was a softball throw. Uraraka delivered an impressive throw that registered as infinity. Next up was Midoriya.

Dream stood next to Bakugou, listening to him and Iida talk. "It doesn't look good for Midoriya if he keeps this up," Iida commented.

"Of course not," Bakugou sneered. "He's a quirkless small fry, you know."

'Quirkless?' Dream thought. Midoriya certainly couldn't be quirkless. Unless the strand of hair he ingested from All Might had given him his quirk. After this, he would make sure to talk to Midoriya.

Midoriya stepped up and threw the softball with a determined look, only to achieve a distance of 46 meters. Frantically, he exclaimed, "I was definitely trying to use my Quirk just now," his face reflecting confusion and worry.

Aizawa's eyes glowed a brilliant red, "I erased your quirk," he stated. A few students gasped, staring at the scene unfolding before them. Aizawa continued, "That entrance exam was definitely not rational enough. Even a kid like you was accepted."

Midoriya noticed Aizawa's yellow goggles hanging from his neck and suddenly realized this was The Erasure Hero: Eraser Head. His quirk allowed him to erase others' quirks just by looking at them. A few students began to question who Eraser Head was, and someone mentioned that he was an underground hero.

Meanwhile, All Might hid behind a building, peeking his head out, 'Aizawa doesn't like media attention; he believes it hinders his work. Given that I'm the Symbol of Peace, it's no wonder we clash.'

Aizawa then addressed Midoriya directly. "Do you intend to become incapacitated again and have someone save you?"

Dream made a mental note, everytime time Midoriya uses his quirk he destroys himself. That certainly isn't the best quirk to have.

Aizawa pulled Midoriya closer with his scarf and said, "Izuku Midoriya, with your power, you can't become a hero."

Aizawa eye's began to soften, turning back into a dark black. "You have another chance on the throw." Aizawa urged him to hurry up and get it over with.

With an angered, determined expression, Midoriya threw the ball, shifting the impact of his quirk onto his index finger. He launched the softball at an astonishing 705.3 meters. "Sensei, I can still move," Midoriya said determinedly, showing his broken purple index finger still flexing.

Aizawa smiled, impressed by Midoriya's resilience. All Might's eyes widened, 'I came because I was worried, but what the heck, young man?! You minimized the injury while maximizing the power by propelling the ball with your quirk at the last point of contact. Young man, I think you are so cool!'
