*Interior - Woo-jin's Family Estate - Grand Hall - Later in the Prayer Event*
Woo-jin's father, standing at the front of the room with a Bible in hand, commands the attention of everyone gathered.
**Mr. Jung**: (booming) "Now that we're all here, let's begin the family prayer. Everyone, on your knees."
The guests obediently drop to their knees on the hard floor, clasping their hands in prayer. Min-ji, however, hesitates, trying to gracefully lower herself in her long, constrictive dress. She winces as her knees hit the floor, struggling to find a comfortable position. The prayers begin, led by Mr. Jung's deep, authoritative voice, which echoes through the grand hall.
**Mr. Jung**: (praying) "Almighty Father, we gather before you to seek your blessing and guidance..."
Min-ji tries to focus, but the monotonous drone of the prayer begins to lull her into a daze. Her eyelids grow heavy, and she sways slightly, barely able to stay upright. Woo-jin, noticing her struggle, leans in close, his voice barely above a whisper.
**Woo-jin**: (concerned) "Min-ji, are you feeling alright?"
Min-ji stifles a yawn, nodding weakly.
**Min-ji**: (whispering back) "I'm just not used to standing on my knees for so long..."
Woo-jin frowns, genuinely concerned for her comfort. He quietly rises to his feet, offering Min-ji his hand.
**Woo-jin**: (gently) "Come, let's take a small break. You need to rest and rejuvenate."
Min-ji blinks in surprise, feeling a wave of relief wash over her. She takes his hand, and they silently slip out of the prayer circle, careful not to draw attention. Once outside the grand hall, Min-ji sighs heavily, grateful to be away from the intensity of the prayer session. She sinks into a nearby chair, rubbing her aching knees through the layers of her dress.
**Min-ji**: (exhaling) "Thank you, Woo-jin. I don't know how much longer I could've lasted in there."
Woo-jin kneels beside her, his brow furrowed with concern as he looks at her discomfort.
**Woo-jin**: (apologetically) "I'm sorry, Min-ji. I should have realized you weren't used to this. Let me help."
Before Min-ji can protest, Woo-jin gently lifts the hem of her dress and starts massaging her knees with his strong, warm hands. His touch is gentle and considerate, and for the first time, Min-ji feels something unexpected-a flutter in her chest.
**Min-ji**: (thinking to herself) *What is this? Why is my heart acting like this?*
She stares at Woo-jin, who is completely focused on easing her discomfort, his usually stern expression softened with concern. It's a side of him she hasn't seen before, and it throws her off balance.
**Woo-jin**: (softly) "I know this must be overwhelming for you. I didn't mean for you to feel out of place. I just want you to be comfortable, Min-ji."
Min-ji finds herself unable to respond with her usual sarcasm. Instead, she feels a strange warmth spreading through her, something she hasn't felt since they first met. The realization that Woo-jin skipped the prayer-something she thought was sacred to him-just to make sure she was okay, hits her unexpectedly hard.
**Min-ji**: (softly) "Woo-jin... thank you."
Woo-jin looks up at her, his hands still resting on her knees, offering a small, sincere smile.
**Woo-jin**: "Anything for you, Min-ji. Your well-being is important to me."
Min-ji's heart flutters again, this time more intensely. She finds herself staring at Woo-jin, seeing him in a new light. Perhaps, behind all the Bible verses and strict adherence to tradition, there's a man who genuinely cares for her. The thought leaves her more confused than ever, but also strangely touched.
**Min-ji**: (thinking to herself) *Maybe he's not so bad after all...*

The prayer has concluded, and the guests are slowly rising from their knees. Woo-jin's father, looking particularly stern, spots Woo-jin and Min-ji coming back into the hall. His eyes narrow as he marches over, clearly agitated.
**Mr. Jung**: (angrily) "Why did you two leave before the prayer was over?"
Min-ji's eyes widen, and she opens her mouth to explain, but Woo-jin beats her to it.
**Woo-jin**: (quickly) "Father, it was my fault. My knees were hurting, so I called Min-ji to help me, and she was just making sure I was comfortable."
Min-ji gapes at Woo-jin, surprised by his quick thinking. She wasn't sure why he lied, but she couldn't deny that his actions were protecting her.
**Mr. Jung**: (scolding) "What nonsense! My son should not be so fragile. His will needs to be stronger, especially during a prayer. You should never allow discomfort to keep you from fulfilling your spiritual duties!"
Mr. Jung turns to Min-ji with a stern look.
**Mr. Jung**: (firmly) "And you, Min-ji, you shouldn't have been so easily swayed. Apologies for interrupting the prayer."
Min-ji is taken aback by his sudden shift in focus, her mouth opening in disbelief.
**Min-ji**: "But-"
Before she can finish, Woo-jin is already bowing repeatedly.
**Woo-jin**: (apologetically) "I'm so sorry, Father. I should have endured the discomfort."
Mr. Jung continues his reprimand, his voice growing louder. After a series of apologies and explanations, Woo-jin's mother finally steps in, her face a picture of calm.
**Mrs. Jung**: (gently) "Darling, let's not be too harsh on them. They can pray later when they're more comfortable. Come on, let's go inside."
Mr. Jung grumbles under his breath but reluctantly allows himself to be led away by his wife. Woo-jin lets out a sigh of relief as the tension in the room dissipates.
**Min-ji**: (confused) "Woo-jin, why did you lie? I was the one who needed to leave, not you."
Woo-jin looks at her, his expression serious but gentle.
**Woo-jin**: (softly) "If I had told the truth, Father would have scolded you for interrupting. I didn't want you to face that. It's a sin to lie, but I will confess it when I go to church, and God will forgive me for lying to protect my future wife."
Min-ji feels a pang of warmth at his words. She watches him with a mix of emotions, touched by his willingness to shield her from his father's wrath.
**Min-ji**: (thinking to herself) *He really does care, doesn't he? Even if he's a bit over the top, he's willing to go to great lengths for me.*
She gives Woo-jin a small, appreciative smile, her heart fluttering once more at his genuine concern.
**Min-ji**: (smiling softly) "Thank you, Woo-jin. I guess that's one way to show you care."
Woo-jin returns her smile, his expression softening as he reaches out and gently squeezes her hand.
**Woo-jin**: "Anything for you, Min-ji. I just want you to be happy and comfortable."
