A Heavenly Disaster

Minji was hoping Eugene will stop with his speech on her innocence but little did she know what was coming.

**Woo-jin**: (with conviction) Proverbs 22:6 says, 'Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.' It's never too late to guide Min-ji back to the right path. She's a good person, but she needs to be protected from the evils of this world."

Min-ji, feeling increasingly embarrassed, tries to steer the conversation in a different direction.

**Min-ji**: (sarcastically) "Oh yes, Dad, maybe you should lock me up in my room for good measure. You know, to keep me safe from all those evil influences. Don't forget to throw away my phone while you're at it."

**Woo-jin**: (missing the sarcasm) "That's not necessary, Min-ji. You just need to be mindful of who you spend time with. Remember, 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, 'Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character.'"

Min-ji rolls her eyes, groaning internally at how oblivious Woo-jin is to her sarcasm.

**Mom**: (teasing) "Woo-jin, you're a good boy. Maybe we should've hired you as a babysitter for Min-ji when she was younger. Who knew she was such a delicate flower?"

**Dad**: (chuckling) "You're right, honey. We've clearly missed the 'innocence' in our daughter all these years. It takes a man like Woo-jin to see it."

Min-ji looks at her parents, mortified, and then back at Woo-jin, who's still earnestly trying to "save" her.

**Min-ji**: (deadpan) "Yep, that's me. Pure as the driven snow. I guess I'll just be in my room, knitting or something."

**Woo-jin**: (smiling) "That's the spirit, Min-ji. Surround yourself with positive influences. Remember, Matthew 7:13-14 says, 'Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.'"

Min-ji's dad can't help but burst out laughing, shaking his head at the absurdity of it all.

**Dad**: (grinning) "Woo-jin, I think you're right. We'll do our best to keep her on the 'narrow road.'"

Min-ji gives her dad a death glare, then turns to Woo-jin with a forced smile

**Min-ji**: (sarcastically) "Thanks, Woo-jin. I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go reflect on my life choices."

Woo-jin, oblivious to the tension in Min-ji's voice, gives her a reassuring smile.

**Woo-jin**: (warmly) "Goodnight, Min-ji. I'll see you tomorrow. And remember, Philippians 4:8: 'Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.'"

Min-ji waves him off, barely holding back her frustration.

**Min-ji**: (through gritted teeth) "Goodnight, Woo-jin."

As Woo-jin leaves, Min-ji's parents burst out laughing, and Min-ji groans, throwing herself onto the couch.

**Dad**: (teasing) "Well, princess, looks like you've found yourself quite the knight in shining armor."

**Mom**: (laughing) "A knight who sees you as the epitome of innocence. Who would've thought?"

Min-ji covers her face with a pillow, her voice muffled.

**Min-ji**: (muffled) "This is a nightmare. An actual nightmare."

Interior - Min-ji's Bedroom - Night

Min-ji stomps into her room, slamming the door behind her. She flops onto her bed, staring up at the ceiling in utter disbelief. Her phone buzzes on the nightstand, and she sees Jisoo's name flash on the screen. With a sigh, she picks up the call.

**Min-ji**: (exasperated) "What now, Jisoo?"

**Jisoo**: (teasingly) "Just checking in to see if your heavenly fiancé has finally descended back to Earth."

Min-ji groans, throwing an arm over her eyes.

**Min-ji**: (sarcastic) "Oh, he's heavenly, all right. You should've seen him tonight, quoting the Bible like he's the second coming. My parents are practically rolling on the floor laughing at how 'innocent' I am."

**Jisoo**: (laughing) "Innocent? You? That's rich. What did he say?"

**Min-ji**: (sitting up) "He's convinced I'm this pure, naive girl who needs to be saved from my 'dangerous' friends. He even lectured my parents about keeping me safe until we're married. It was like watching a live sermon. I swear, I'm living in some weird religious romcom, and it's not even funny anymore."

**Jisoo**: (mocking) "Aw, poor Min-ji, stuck with Saint Woo-jin. So, are you ready to run away yet, or should I start planning your escape?"

**Min-ji**: (with a smirk) "I think I'll pass on the runaway bride act. Besides, I'm supposed to be the one making him run away, remember? Tonight was just a warm-up. Tomorrow, the real fun begins."

**Jisoo**: (curious) "Oh? What's next on the agenda?"

**Min-ji**: (grinning) "Let's just say I've got a few tricks up my sleeve. Woo-jin's going to find out just how 'innocent' I really am."

**Jisoo**: (laughing) "Now that I can't wait to see. Just be careful, though. You might actually scare the poor guy into becoming a priest for real."

**Min-ji**: (chuckling) "At this point, that might be the best-case scenario. But don't worry, I've got this under control. He'll be running back to the Vatican in no time."

**Jisoo**: (teasing) "Or you'll end up converting to Catholicism. Either way, I'm here for the drama."

**Min-ji**: (rolling her eyes) "Yeah, yeah. Just keep your phone handy. I might need a partner in crime."

**Jisoo**: (grinning) "Always, babe. Good luck with your holy war."

**Min-ji**: (smirking) "Thanks. I'll need it."

Min-ji hangs up the phone, determination in her eyes. She's ready to give Woo-jin a taste of his own medicine-and maybe, just maybe, scare him off for good.
