As the pulsating music faded into the background, the four friends gathered around the sleek bar, the dim lights casting a warm glow over their faces. Woojin, still feeling the effects of the drink, sat quietly on a barstool, his expression distant, his gaze lost somewhere beyond the neon lights of the club. Minji turned to Sungyeol, concern etching her features.
"Is he going to be okay?" she asked, eyeing Woojin with a mixture of affection and worry.
Sungyeol shrugged, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "He's not great with alcohol, but don't worry. Just give him a little time to chill."
Across the bar, Jisoo leaned in, a teasing glint in her eyes. "This is perfect for you, Minji. You could take Woojin to a room," she suggested, a cheeky wink accompanying her words.
"Hey! What are you suggesting?" Minji protested, her cheeks flushing a shade deeper. "You want me to take advantage of him while he's drunk?"
"Come on, Minji!" Jisoo laughed lightly. "He's your future husband, and he doesn't even touch you when he's sober. Don't waste this opportunity!"
Sungyeol chimed in, nodding in agreement. "Exactly! You need to seize the moment before he retreats back to saint mode. Besides, Woojin can't go home like this or his dad will kill me."
With a resigned sigh, Minji glanced at Woojin, who sat with his head resting on his hand, gazing blankly at the drink in front of him. Her heart softened at the sight. "Alright, fine," she relented, "but I'm not going to take advantage of him."
She stood up, smoothing her skirt as she reached for Woojin's arm, gently pulling him up. "Come on, Woojin. Let's get some fresh air."
He blinked at her, slightly disoriented. "Where are we going?" he asked, his voice thick with curiosity.
"Just to rest and relax," she assured him, guiding him through the throng of bodies on the dance floor.
As they walked, Woojin suddenly turned to her, a lopsided grin appearing on his face. "Why are you so pretty today?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with admiration, the tipsy haze making his compliments feel more genuine.
Minji felt her heart flutter at his words, but she quickly steered him outside, the cool night air refreshing against her warm cheeks. She led him toward the nearby hotel, where she hoped to find a quiet space for them to unwind.
Once inside, she approached the reception desk, speaking to the attendant about booking a room. Woojin leaned against the wall, still a little dazed, watching her with a soft smile that sent butterflies fluttering in her stomach.
As Minji inquired about room availability, Woojin suddenly interjected, his expression serious. "We need two rooms because we aren't married yet," he stated matter-of-factly.
Minji raised an eyebrow in disbelief, her lips curving into a bemused smile. "Just ignore him," she said to the receptionist, who looked slightly confused. "Can we just get one room? It's all they have left," she added quickly, trying to conceal her amusement.
Woojin frowned slightly, not quite grasping the situation. "Are you sure?" he pressed, still earnest despite his tipsiness.
"Absolutely!" Minji replied with a wink, her heart racing. "Just one room."
With the booking confirmed, she turned back to Woojin, who was still processing what had just happened. "Let's go, my future husband," she teased, slipping her hand into his and leading him toward the elevator, her heart pounding with excitement and anticipation.
As the elevator doors slid shut with a soft chime, Minji and Woojin found themselves in a cozy, confined space, the atmosphere thick with anticipation and awkwardness. Minji leaned against the wall, her heart racing, while Woojin swayed slightly, his balance precarious.
