An Evil Plan

Woojin takes a deep breath, his hands shaking slightly as he mentally prepares himself.

**Woojin**: *“I will do it. I have to do it.”*

**Sungyeol**: (grinning) *“That's my boy! Now you’re talking. Come on, take that shirt off!”*

**Woojin**: *“I’m calling Minji...”*

**Sungyeol**: (laughing) *“Oh my! You want to do it on a video call? My motivational skills are top-tier!”*

Woojin quickly dials Minji’s number as Sungyeol watches in amusement.

On the other side, Minji gasps as she sees Woojin’s name pop up on the video call. She and Jisoo exchange surprised glances.

**Minji**: (picking up the call) *“Woojin? You’re—”*

**Woojin**: (earnestly quoting the Bible) *“Minji, Let us control our desires and turn to God, for temptation leads us astray. Therefore, I cannot, in good conscience, send a shirtless picture. It was Sungyeol who was sending those messages, saying it was romantic!”*

Sungyeol, standing beside Woojin, rolls his eyes in frustration.

**Sungyeol**: *“You are such a loser, Woojin.”*

**Minji**: (laughing) *“And here I have Jisoo who was sending the messages from my side. Maybe Sungyeol and Jisoo should talk since Jisoo is a big fan of Sungyeol the chaser.”*

**[Before Woojin can react, Sungyeol snatches the phone out of his hand, grinning widely.]**

**Sungyeol**: *“Oh, I’m always ready to talk to my fangirls!”*

**[Woojin sighs deeply and returns to his laptop, relieved but exhausted. Sungyeol, meanwhile, steps out of the office and onto the balcony to continue the call.]**

**Minji**: (smirking) *“Oh really, Jisoo? You want to say hi to Sungyeol?”*

**[Jisoo, eagerly snatching the phone from Minji, grins excitedly.]**

**Jisoo**: *“Sungyeol, I’m a big fan. I already told Minji it must’ve been you texting!”*

**Sungyeol**: (flirting) *“Oh, how did you know it was me?”*

**Jisoo**: *“I know how cool you are.”*

**Sungyeol**: *“Just cool? Not hot?”*

**Jisoo**: (teasing) *“You’re cool, hot, and sexy. You’d be even cooler if you were into dating pretty fangirls.”*

**Sungyeol**: (grinning) *“I wasn’t... but you could be an exception, Jisoo. After all, you’re my best friend’s fiancée’s best friend. We could even go on double dates if I date you.”*

**Jisoo**: (laughing) *“Please, your Woojin is good enough to turn a date into a sermon. How did you even become friends with him?”*

**Minji**: (laughing) *“Now this, I need to hear!”*

Sungyeol: oh sure, it's an interesting story from our high school days. Woojin was new to our class and everyone was excited to be friends with him because he was really handsome. But everyone backed off once they heard him quote Bible in every conversation.

[Flash back ]

A a crowded classroom in high school. A younger Woojin, looking fresh-faced and serious, stands by his desk, eyes closed, whispering Bible verses under his breath before class starts. He’s focused, praying with all his heart, oblivious to the stares of his classmates.
