A Surprise Proposal

Seo Residence, Living Room - Evening

The scene opens in a beautifully decorated living room of the Seo family's luxurious home. The atmosphere is warm, and the faint scent of freshly brewed tea fills the air. **Seo Min-ji** is seated on a plush sofa, scrolling through her phone, entirely oblivious to the conversation happening between her parents across the room.

Her mother, **Mrs. Seo**, is arranging a tray of snacks, while her father, **Mr. Seo**, is pacing back and forth, clearly excited.

**Mr. Seo**: (beaming) "This is it, honey! Our Min-ji is finally getting married. And to the Jung family, no less! The merger will secure our business for generations."

**Mrs. Seo**: (grinning) "And Woo-jin is such a fine young man. Handsome, polite, and from such a devout family. We couldn't have asked for a better match."

Min-ji, who has been half-listening, suddenly snaps to attention at the mention of marriage.

**Min-ji**: (confused) "Wait, what are you talking about? Marriage? Who's getting married?"

Mrs. Seo walks over to Min-ji, gently placing a hand on her daughter's shoulder.

**Mrs. Seo**: (excitedly) "You are, dear! Isn't it wonderful? The Jung family has proposed a marriage between you and their son, Woo-jin. It's the perfect arrangement!"

Min-ji's eyes widen in shock. She wasn't prepared for this bombshell.

**Min-ji**: (stammering) "M-marriage? With...who? Woo-jin? I've never even met him!"

Mr. Seo chuckles, waving off her concerns as he joins them.

**Mr. Seo**: (reassuringly) "You'll meet him soon enough, Min-ji. This is a golden opportunity for both our families. Woo-jin is a great guy, from a respectable family, and this merger will secure our future."

Min-ji feels her heart racing. Marriage? She wasn't even thinking about relationships, let alone marrying someone she's never met. Her parents seem so confident, but she's starting to feel a sense of dread creeping in.

**Min-ji**: (trying to keep calm) "But... don't you think this is a bit sudden? I mean, I don't know anything about him. What if we don't get along?"

Mrs. Seo squeezes her shoulder gently, trying to soothe her.

**Mrs. Seo**: (comforting) "Nonsense, darling. Woo-jin is perfect for you. He's handsome, successful, and a good Christian man. You'll see, once you meet him, you'll understand why we're so excited."

Min-ji swallows hard, trying to process everything. She forces a smile, but inside, she's anxious. What kind of person is Woo-jin? And how on earth is she supposed to marry someone she doesn't even know?

**Min-ji**: (mumbling) "Yeah... I guess we'll see."

Just as she's lost in thought, the doorbell rings. Mrs. Seo claps her hands together, her eyes sparkling with joy.

**Mrs. Seo**: "Oh, that must be them! Min-ji, get ready to meet your future husband!"

Min-ji's heart skips a beat. She takes a deep breath, trying to steel herself for what's about to come. Little does she know, this is the beginning of a journey she never expected-one filled with surprises, challenges, and a man who will change her life in ways she couldn't imagine.

The door opens, and in steps **Jung Woo-jin**, a tall, impeccably dressed man with a calm and serene demeanor. He's holding a Bible in one hand and a bouquet of lilies in the other. As his eyes meet Min-ji's, he smiles warmly, completely unaware of the storm of emotions brewing inside her.

**Woo-jin**: (softly) "Peace be with you, Min-ji. I'm Jung Woo-jin. It's a pleasure to meet my future wife."

Min-ji forces a smile, her mind spinning. This was going to be a lot harder than she thought.
