The Destiny's Bounty is flying through a storm; in his cabin, Master Wu uses the spirit smoke and sees the ninja being surrounded by the Serpentine before seeing himself being eaten by the Great Devourer and gasping. In the dining room, Kai, Nya and Jay are keeping watch over the four silver Fangblades.
"Why is it that Torchfire Mountain is the only place we can destroy the Fangblades?" "'Cause the Fangblades are made from the original teeth of the Devourer. They're so strong they can only break down in extraordinary heat." "Uh, could someone pass the salt?"
The Destiny's Bounty tilts, sliding the salt shaker towards him.
"Hey, thanks."
Cole comes in, green from air sickness. He feels groggy.
"Please. No one talk about food. How much longer until we get there?" "Not long. Hey, Cole, you're looking a little green over there. How'd you like a mucus salt sandwich?"
Cole goes outside to vomit. Jay laughs.
"Speaking of green, who would've guessed little Lloyd Garmadon turned out to be the Green Ninja?" "I know. He was such a brat at first. It's hard to believe he's gonna become the greatest ninja that ever lived. But didn't (Name) give some kind of hint to that?" "Maybe. Hey anyone else think that if she was younger that they'd ask her out?" "Dude, didn't she used to visit you when you were a kid Kai?" "Yeah, so? Anyways..."
Kai clears his throat.
"Where is that little runt and Shade?"

Shade was in the training room with Lloyd. Shade was watching his form from the shadows.
"Serpentine, it's time I Spinjitzu you back into the filthy holes you came from. Ninja kick! Tiger claw! Ninja, go!"
He spoke in a country accent. Shade did a silent chuckle at that. Lloyd attempts Spinjitzu but falls. They both hear Pythor laugh as he turns visible.
"What a joke. You were always a boy who chased stupid dreams." "Pythor! How did you get aboard?"
Pythor picks up Lloyd.
"You think I would allow the ninja to steal the Fangblades from me?" "Ugh! You'll never get away with it! Hey—"
Pythor puts tape over his mouth and ties him to a punching bag. Pythor gets uppercutted and shoved away from Lloyd and the door.
"You stay the heck away from my brother! Also, you'd think you'd learn I'm always nearby when you come near this team and or ship."
Shade spoke with venom dripping off his words with a harsh glare. Pythor got up and when he looked him in the eyes, his purple scales became white. That glare remined him of the princess.
"I h-have to p-please the p-princess. S-she'll have m-my head if I f-fail her a s-second time."
The way Pythor spoke told Shade that he was terrified scaleless of this princess. Due to him lost in thought, Pythor vanished and left the room.

A tour bus stops next to Torchfire Mountain.
"Thanks, folks, for choosing the Ninjago Tour Company to see our land's most scenic destinations. And if you look to your left, you'll find Ninjago's very own Torchfire Mountain, where the core of the natural volcano can reach up to three bajillion degrees!"
While the tourists took pictures, a boy sees the Bounty.
"Look, Mommy, a flying ship." "Oh, honey, ships don't fly. Only planes." "No, Mommy, it's a ship." "Heh, uh-huh. That's nice, honey."
