A flashback of Captain Soto and his crew trying to find the Dark Island.
"198 years ago." (I changed it for story reasons.)
Captain Soto was writing in his journal.
When he finished, he stores his journal in a hidden compartment before checking up on his crew.
"This is no time for fooling around. Who's steering the ship?" "Don't worry, captain. No-Eyed Pete is behind the wheel." "No! Not No-Eyed Pete!"
Soto looked up and saw it indeed No-Eyed Pete at the helm.
"Awk, left! No, the other left!"
A pirate sees something ahead.
"The Island of Darkness?" "No, you fool."
Soto runs up and over then takes the wheel.
"He's steered us back to Ninjago. All hands on deck! Brace for impact!"
The ship crashed and sinks, killing everyone on board. The flashback ends.

In the present time, Lloyd is punching the punching bag that Kai is holding for him. The others of the team were watching, (Name) was in the kitchen cooking for the boys, Nya and Wu with the help of her shadows. Shade now had his mechanical arm.
"Good, keep it up." "Ha! Fists of fury! Unh! You can't even see 'em move, I'm so fast! Ha!" "Save the gloating. It can only be used against you by your enemy." "Oh, please. I'm ready to face whatever you throw at me."
Lloyd kicks the bag which sends Kai flying into the wall.
"Whoa, grasshopper. You're not even ready to face my pinky toe."
Kai wiggles his left foot to emphasize his point. Behind Lloyd, Wu is observing the session.
"I see the student has become the teacher. You will learn fast, Lloyd, with lessons from the four ninja." "Great, now that lesson is over, how about some target practice...on Kai?" "You'll each get your turn, but first, I don't want you to be late for your next lesson with Nya." "Aww, but when will I learn Spinjitzu?" "In due time my boy!" "Listen to your mother Lloyd. Patience. It will only be unlocked when the key is ready to be found."
Lloyd groans and walks away to meet up with Nya.
"Ha, sounds familiar?" "I wasn't that whiny." "No, you were worse." "You boys should find a back-up spot to train my boy! Who knows how long I'll let you stay here!" "I see her point, let's go find somewhere else to aid his journey as a back-up."
Cole could smell the noodles from the kitchen.
"Oh boy, (Name)'s making noodles! We can do that later! Right now her noodles are calling my name."
He then made a mad dash for the dinning room. The others followed in suit.
"I hope you all can handle the spicy level of these noodles. I used spices that my youngest sibling gave me and a noodle recipe from a pig I know."
The shadows say as they placed down the bowls.
"I'll go get Lloyd and Nya."
(Name)'s clone said as she vanished.
Soon Lloyd and Nya came in.
"There you two are, sit down and eat before-" "HOT!!!!" "MY TASTEBUDS!!!" "HOLY CANOLI THIS IS VERY SPICY!!!!!!" "HOW IS IT BURNING MY TONGUE!! I'M A NINDROID!!!!" "WHAT THE HECK!!! THIS IS SPICER THAN NORMAL MOM!!!"
