The empress yelled out, soon surrounded by guards.
"Get the dragon out of here!"
"Intruders!"
"It's the fire girl!"
Kai and Wyldfire became a destructive duo, while Sora and Arin tried to find a way to get Riyu out of his cage. Skylor and Lloyd just helped keep them safe while they did.
The empress ran off. But Rapton stepped forward. Skylor took him on.
"You-! You're the hunter!" He exclaimed. "I'll have you know I'm going to write a VERY nasty review!"
Skylor thrust her hands at him but nothing came out. Right.
"Lloyd!" She held out a hand. He nodded and gave her a high five just as Rapton charged towards Skylor. Skylor turned back and swung the back of her hand to Rapton, sending a burst of energy at him. Woo!
Rapton growled like an animal and whined at the nearby guards to come after her. No match for Lloyd's elemental power, though.
"We got him!" Arin shouted. Lloyd nodded.
"Alright, let's get out of here!" Lloyd said. "Kai, Wyldfire!"
Lloyd turned to skylor. The two nodded.
Arin grappled up, bringing Sora and Riyu with him. Kai dragged Wyldfire away from the fight. The group escaped through where they came. They jumped down into the hall one by one.
"Awww... we're leaving already?" Wyldfire groaned. "I was having fun!"
The group was chased by nearby guards, but they already had an escape plan.
"To the sewers." Skylor said unenthusiasticly.
"Hey, pro tip." Kai said. "Don't announce our escape route when we're being chased by people who want to kill us."
Skylor glared at him. For the... how many times and she glared at him today? Enough to not be able to keep count.
The group turned a corner and dove into the sewers. Gross.
The group blindly ran, Sora leading them through complex climbs and turns.
"We there yet or what?" Skylor huffed.
"We're right about- what?!"
She stopped in her tracks, causing the group to halt. Not important, but Arin and Wyldfire ran into each other.
"It's blocked off!!" Sora exclaimed. "But we just came through here earlier!"
The hole they had climbed into had been replaced by a shiny grate. Obviously they weren't dumb enough to block off a sweet pipe. But just smart enough to keep us from leaving.
"When was this?!" Arin said. "Guess we'll go around?"
"Nah, I got this!" Wyldfire shouted, blasting fire at the grate. It did nothing.
"Maybe I don't got this." She said awkwardly.
The little dragon butted his head against the metal.
"Sora, do you know a way around?" Lloyd asked.
"It's far, so I'm not too sure." Sora shook her head. "Wait, I'll use- uh, Skylor, can you use my tech powers and build it away?"
Skylor shook her head.
"You've got Riyu, can't be help you?"
She nodded, and walked over to Riyu. The two rose up and their eyes glowed. Sora turned the grate into a little toy frog.
"What was that!" Skylor said, taken aback.
"That's Riyu enhancing Sora's power." Lloyd answered.
"And this happens every time?!" Skylor gawked
"Yep." Lloyd nodded
"That's-... kind of a crazy thing to see."
"Alright, let's get home." Lloyd nodded. They hopped out, landing on the sandy floor.
Once everyone was accounted for, they began the trek back to the bounty.
