"Wake up!" Amy screamed, shaking Bruce awake. "Come on boarding school. Get up!" She smacked his head with his pillow. Bruce unwillingly sat up. It was way too early for this.

"Amy. Get out. You're only excited because you're gunna turn my room into a den." Bruce groaned. He didn't like the fact that practically all of his family were so excited for him to leave. They were more excited than he was. They even threw a leaving party for him. Amy mumbled a few profanities to herself before getting up and leaving. Bruce sighed to himself as he slowly got up.

He stared at himself in the mirror. He looked scruffy and had dark bags under his eyes. He couldn't even invision himself going to a rich boarding school. He wondered what it would be like. He knew he would be put in a dorm with one or two people. He would just have to prey it was someone at least a little bit likeable.

He quickly got changed and made his way down the creaky stairs. His parents were waiting for him apprehensively at the bottom. They both had large smiles.

"Have you got everything?" Mrs Yamada asked for the tenth time in the last 24 hours. Bruce huffed as he nodded his head.

"I've quadruple checked." He said. "And my phones all charged." Mrs Yamada smiled brightly.

"Well, all your bags are in the car." She clapped her hands. "Let's get you going." She hugged him tightly, practically suffocating him. "I can't believe you're going away." She choked out.

"Jeez mum! I'm not dying." Bruce laughed. "I'm coming back for Christmas." She started to sniffle. Bruce couldn't understand it. She was so happy a minute ago.

"Come on. He has to get going or he'll miss the bus." Bruce's dad says as he pulls her away from Bruce. He walked over to Bruce, staring into his eyes proudly. "You go show the world what you're made of." Bruce nodded. Mr Yamada dusted Bruce's shoulder before saying a last goodbye.

"Let's go, mum." Bruce started to walk to the front door. He was starting to worry about time.

"Not going to say goodbye to me?" Amy asked, her arms crossed over her chest as she pouted.

"Bye, worm." Bruce stuck his tongue out, causing Amy to crack a smile. Bruce left quickly running to the car. He took one last look at his house. He was going to miss it here. As his mum drove off, he couldn't help but feel like he had left a piece of him behind that he wouldn't get back until Christmas. This whole thing was insane. He couldn't believe it wasn't just a dream.

As the car came to a halt, he realised he was already at the school. This would be the last time he would see his mum in months. He stomach twisted, and he actually felt upset.

"I love you, Bruce. Please text me when you've arrived. I'll be praying for you." She looked through the mirror of her car. A small tear running from her eyes.

"I will. And I love you too." He smiled sadly as he got out of the car, grabbing his bags from the back. His mum quickly drove away.

Bruce sighed to himself as he approached the small bus. It looked like Finney and Robin were already there. He could hear them rambling on about their favourite movies. Bruce loaded his luggage onto the bus and hopped on.

"Hey guys." He smiled as he sat across the two.

"Hey, Bruce." Finney smiled. "You ready?" He questioned. Bruce nodded firmly. There was no turning back now.

"Let's make an agreement." Robin spoke. Finney and Bruce stared at him to show they were listening. "When we're there, we stick. We'll look after each other." The others agreed. Bruce was glad it was Robin and Finney, even if he hadn't spoken with them a lot before. They were both great people, and Bruce needed faces he knew. He wasn't alone in this.
