Finney walked through the school silently, his music blasting through his headphones. Robin was still asleep, and there was about thirty minutes before breakfast, so he wanted to have some alone time to read a book and listen to some of his favourite songs. He was making his way to one of the gardens, where he had found the perfect spot the other day. It was a quiet, nearly abandoned spot near the back of the school. It was surrounded by tall trees that were beginning to shed due to the autumn weather, making the floor covered in red and orange leaves, though some were dead as they were reaching the cusp of winter. Finney turned around a corner, instantly freezing in the spot. Shit. He recognised the two guys standing there. He didn't know their names or what their deal was, but they had beat him up the other week and scared him half to death. It wasn't like he did anything to piss them off. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. He turned around, trying to escape before they saw him, but he stopped when he felt a hand grab his shoulder tightly.

"Where do you think you are going?" The guy spoke, his voice deep and harsh. He turned Finney's body. Finn stated at him, scared.

"I-Uh. I was just going to read, but I can find somewhere else." Finney's lips trembled slightly. The guy looked to his friend with a smirk.

"Nonsense!" He jeered. "You can stay. We will keep you company." He patted Finney's back, his friend laughing slightly. "What is this?" The guy snatched Finney's book from his hand, reading the front cover.

"It's my book. Can I have it back?" Finney asked quietly. The guy threw it to his friend, who also had a look. The guy hummed.

"What is the magic word, scholarship?" He teased cruelly. Finney sighed. Why was it always him getting picked on? Why couldn't it be someone who actually deserves it? But then again, Fin thought no one really deserved to be bullied or beaten up every day. Not even the worst of people deserved it.

"Please."

"Give it him back." The guy smiled. His friend chucked it to Finney's feet. The book landing in a small puddle. "Oh no!" He said sarcastically. "I hope that didn't cost too much."

"Come on." Finney complained as he stared at his now ruined book.

"Can I ask you something, kid?" He asked with a smug grin. Fin stayed silent, knowing he would only ask the question even if he said no. "Why did you choose to be a fag?" Finney winced at the word. He hated it.

"It's not a choice. And please don't use that word." Finney breathed out.

"Sure it is." He started. "It certainly was not the Lords plan to make you a dirty faggot." Finney's stomach churned and he wished at that moment he was anywhere else but here.

"The fuck did you just call him?" A voice from behind Finney spoke, rather aggressively. Finney felt relieved as he knew by the sound of the persons voice that it was Robin.

"You heard me." He smiled, almost proud of his cruel words. Proud that he could so easily hurt someone without a care or single thought about how the person might be going through. Robin took a step closer and  made his hands into small fists as his face grew red with anger. He wasn't going to let this guy get away with this.

"Listen, cabrón. If you don't shut your stupid bitch ass mouth up, I will beat the ever living shit out of you." He warned. The guy only found it amusing as he peered over Robin easily. He was tall and was trying to use his height to intimidate Robin, which wasn't working. Robin had beaten lots of guys that have been more muscley or bigger than him.

"I would like to see you try."  That pushed Robin over the edge. Finney looked at him with worry. He knew Robin was about to do something stupid.

"Robin! Don't!" He pleaded as he watched Robin raise his fists. But it was too late. He watched as Robins fist makes contact with the guys face. The guy stumbles back a bit but remains standing. He looked at Robin with anger.
