"You know, I should have learned a long time ago to never listen to JJ. He's full of bad ideas, like stealing from my rich boss.

But this time, he was right. I had nothing to lose..."

John B got off his boat and onto the Druthers before using his key to open the door. He paused before going in, seeing the family having brunch on the patio.

"My dad said the island was America on steroids. The haves and have-nots like any place, but magnified and multiplied.

The way I see it, the game's rigged. Maybe it always has been. No parents, money... and no one looking out for me. I got no chance... unless I make it on my own."

John B walked out the door, about to return to his boat with the scuba gear. He stopped when Sarah was on the boat.

"Oh! Hey. Are you stalking us? Plotting your revenge?" Sarah asked with a smirk, leaving on the railing.

"Yeah. Why don't you just tell your daddy I blew the bilge on Druthers?" He asked, coming up with a quick lie. "Everything's good to go. Just toppin' off these tanks." He said, making Sarah roll her eyes as he moved to put the scuba gear in his boat.

"Hey, are you okay? 'Cause that eye of yours looks really gnarly." Sarah continued, following him down to the lower level of the Druthers.

"Yeah. You know what?" John B scoffed, turning to look at her. "You can tell Topper he won the first round. I'll get him next time." He said, climbing over to get into his boat.

"So, there's just gonna be a reign of terror on this island now?"

"Wars have been started for less, Sarah Cameron." John B shrugged, moving to untie the rope that was keeping the boat by the Druthers.

"Okay. Can we drop the whole Pogues versus Kooks thing?" Sarah asked, leaning over the boat, when John B moved to walk over to her. "It is really stupid." She said when John B looked at her with an unamused expression.

"You know, it's easy to say that when you're a Kook." John B smirked before patting the boat and starting up his boat to drive away.

Sarah rolled her eyes, flipping him off, before returning to her house.

In the marsh.

"This is empty. You took empty tanks?" Kie scoffed, checking the tank levels, while John B sat beside her.

"I..." John B sighed, not knowing how to defend himself.

"Okay... this one's a quarter full," Kie sighed, checking another tank's oxygen levels. "It's enough for one of us." Kie scoffed, looking at the others.

"Love it when a plan comes together." Pope scoffed, sitting in the driver's seat with his feet on the dash where the steering wheel was.

"Does anybody know how to dive?" Kie asked when the boys went quiet. "Anybody?"
